It's still being repaired at the bike shop for the second time.
I was excited to get the bike and put it together in about an hour and a half. I notice right away that the bearings in the steering column were very sloppy and had almost 3/8 inch of slop/movement. There was a small dent in the frame and both derailleurs were bent but were able to be straightened. I finished and took it out for a ride and very quickly realized that it would be impossible for my at 6-1 to ride the bike comfortably.I decided to take it to my local bike shop to make sure that the steering was not dangerous. The bike shop told me that the upper bearing was not correct/defective/damaged and for a small charge of 30 dollars they found a way to reduce about 80% of the slop. I bought a longer seat extension for another 30 dollars and was back off to the bike trail.I made it about 1.2 miles down the path and the chain started slipping and then the chain broke. Luckily, it was only a 1.2 mile walk back. If it would have broke at mile 10, I might have moved the review down to 1 star.It is back at the bike shop and I told them to do a full tune up on it which will cost 80 dollars. I will be picking up the bike tomorrow and will see if things are fixed. If the bike works with only the 110 dollars for tune up and repair plus the 30 dollars to extend the seat higher, I will be happy. If the bike now works, it is a great looking bike for the price. If I need to replace the rear Derailleur I can get a SHIMANO Altus Mountain Bike Rear Derailleur - Direct Mount - RDM310 from Amazon for 27.99 and a new chain for 16 dollar's, I will still be ok.If you are not willing to do the work required and you do not have a cost effective bike shop near you, I would not buy this bike. If I had to bring this to one of the showy/high-end bike shops in my area, it would have cost me twice as much to have fixed and I would not have been happy. I will update my review once I have a few hundred miles on the bike. I try to ride 10-30 miles a day but the temps are down in the low 40's again so it might be a few weeks.

Nothing but regret
The info I read prior to placing my order mislead me into believing there would be minimal simple assembly required. I was getting no where fast so I managed to load the thing in the back of a SUV & took it to a local bike shop. The local bike shop told me no problem . . . for $100.00. I left the bike @ the shop 6 days ago & this afternoon heard from them for the first time. As I suspected, and am by no means in agreement with, they managed to find something wrong that would naturally cost me more. According to them, the rear gear shifter is defective. They don't have an exact replacement, but close to it & it will cost me an additional $25.00.

Great for mud and dirt
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I did a video of the bike right after I put this together, as of right now, it has been through mud and dirt so it's definitely not new looking as I broke this in the same day I put this together. To say that it's made tough is a complete understatement. I have gone through several different bike trails that we have here locally and even on some of the toughest, dirtiest and muddiest, this bike has been through it all without fail I might add. This bike is not only made to take a beating but the wheels and gears have been great when going through some steep slopes and some sharp turns. When it comes to putting it together, I followed the instructions and made sure that everything was well adjusted. The seat is fully adjustable, with me being able to move it up or down or even tilting it forward and back. The brakes do need to be adjusted before riding as there is wiggle room which I was able to tighten up. What I love most about this bike are the handle bars and the end pieces that help without having to worry about my hands slipping off of the handles if they get wet or muddy. Switching between the different gears is really easy to do. This is my first owning a bike with the fat tires so I did have to ride this around the block to get used to them. However, I will not be going back to slimmer tires. These tires are great on concrete, dirt, gravel, pavement and mud. The frame itself is a very well made and built frame. It was not only able to withstand the bouncing, my weight but mainly how hard I ride my bikes. The aluminum framing makes this lightweight and easy to pickup when I'm loading it up on my rack. Strong, durable and great for heavy mountain biking.

Arrived broken
Bike came with a bent frame, bent rear disk break, and deep scratches on front wheel and multiple spots on frame. Additionally, product arrived with instructions for a different bike and is missing the mud flaps. I am unable to ride it as is. I'm super disappointed.

Best Bike for the price
Nice bike for the price. Builds very easily, and mine arrived with very minor dings and tiny dents which I can live with. Fork and head bearings are not great, and spacer for stem on steerer is too long (doesn't allow full grip from stem to fork). Will upgrade fork soon, but overall, this is actually a complete bike, which I am happy to call mine. The "Shimano Cmoponents" shifters are crud, and will definitely need replacement, as will the brakes, but these are not "horrible" to start with.

Great looking solid bike!
Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that it arrived missing 4 out of the 6 hex screws needed for front disc brake. I’ll have to take out 1 of the only 2 and take it to a hardware store to match it, ugh. Otherwise all looks great and I can’t wait to ride it!Update: I ended up taking it to a bike store and the fork was also bent, so I returned it for a straight exchange. Replacement bike came 4 days later. All the parts were there and I took it straight to OC Bike garage to put it together for me—best $65 I’ve spent in awhile! Bike runs Beautifully and I Love it! Very solid and sturdy and I can ride over almost anything. Very stable while without sacrificing agility. So I’m changing my review to 5 stars. Great deal for the $ spent.
