No more hairballs! Works well for my cat!
This product works very well for my cat mixed into his wet food! His coughing up hairballs has stopped. I highly recommend this product, although it took some trial and error to find out how best to give it to my cat. That’s why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars. The directions indicate your cat will eat the product directly. My cat disliked the tuna flavor and/or texture. I put a small amount of the product on his nose and on his paw to introduce him to the flavor. I tried this several times on different days to no avail. He immediately rubbed it off his nose and wiped it off his paw making sure not to lick or taste it. I was successful in mixing small amounts in his wet food. Gradually adding more each time up to a teaspoon. He will eat the wet food with 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon of the product a couple of times a week (the amount and frequency recommended in the directions after the initial first couple of days dose). I am very pleased that he is no longer coughing up hairballs!

For hairballs
I like the consistency of this product. Unfortunately I can't attest to the flavor of the product since I'm not going to try in order for the review and my cat won't take direct from the tube. I have to give by putting some on my finger and he comes back for attention so it can't be bad. I have to have my car in position before putting on finger because it is a gel and will soften with body heat and melt.

This has helped my cat a ton!
My cat is incredibly picky, and I tried another brand of laxative/hairball preventer from the pet store that he wouldn’t touch. The other product was too thick for him, but the Tomlyn Laxatone is the perfect texture. It is gooey, not solid, and he will lick it from the back of a spoon. The thick kind was basically just flung to the floor in a chunk and then he wouldn’t even try to lick it again. He used to have extreme constipation, which caused us to learn that a visit to the vet for a cat enema costs $200! The Laxatone has helped save us money and save him pain, so it is great. I highly recommend it. We give him a half inch “blob” 2-3 times a day which is perfect for him. He likes the taste so he thinks he is getting a treat, in fact we have eliminated regular treats, and he just gets this and his constipation has improved a lot. He is 14 years old, and has a “mega colon” and will always be prone to constipation, but this keeps him more regular. It has also decreased his vomiting which was partially caused by the usual cat hair balls, but I think he would get nauseated when he was really constipated too.

May the turds flow freely
My darling cat, Alfonzo Fonzarelli Pantalones, is frequently afflicted with megacolon, which sounds like an exciting name for the villain of a 1990s children show but is actually a painful condition that makes constipation even tougher. I've tried all sorts of treatments for this dreaded condition, from prescription food to stool softeners, but to no avail. Even as I shoveled these vet-prescribed remedies down my beloved feline's unwilling throat, the symptoms persisted -- as resistant to treatment as Fonzie's rectum is to passing poop. But the litter box wouldn't stay bereft forever -- no, at the end of my wits and at the behest of my ever-patient veterinarian, I tried one last thing -- Laxatone. My vet even assured me that "he might even like it," but she was wrong... he LOVED it! He'd sit there beside his dinner bowl ignoring the alluring scent of his super expensive wet food whose label promised freedom from gastrointestinal suffering. Instead, he'd look up at me with his dopey green eyes, silently mewing for more Laxatone."Give me more delicious anal lube," his eyes would say, and how could I resist? Before I knew it, the lube-tube would be as dry as Fonzie's megacolon stools used to be, and I'd have to hop onto Amazon to order more. Such is the magical power of tuna-flavored Laxatone.

You've created a monster
I have one of those picky cats who will not eat ANYTHING besides the kibble he was reared on at the shelter. Not can food. Not cat treats. Not fresh fish, nor shrimp, nor canned tuna. No fruit. No veg. Not even catnip. Nothing except kibble and copious amounts of his own fluff until he pukes. At first, I had to stick the tube of Laxatone into his mouth, but now he eagerly laps it straight off the tube. Not only that, but he is constantly meowing at me in the kitchen because he wants MORE. I'm still not totally sure how much it's helping his fur balls, but I assume it's helping somewhat. I am amazed at how much my cat likes it.
