Q: How do you make it stay on a solid color? I tried the FN key plus the arrows but it doesn’t work.

To hold a solid color, press the LED mode control button (button B in the manual) until the solid Red color holds. All other LED modes are color changing/breathing effects. Once solid red, you can change the desired color using the FN key and right & left arrows.

Q: how to disable the breathing effect?

There are 3 buttons on the top left corner of the keyboard. The one on the far-left is the brightness, the one in the middle control the colors (also the breathing effect) which allows you to toggle through each default setting, and the one on the right turns on Gaming mode which essentially turns off ALT-TAB and the windows button. The middle button is the button you're after.

There is a color switch on the top right it is very easy to use
