Fox 40Pearl Sports and Safety Loud Marine Whistle, Black (2 Pack)

Big mistake. Must blow hard! Very lightweight plastic, probably good for a key chain. I can't imagine a coach using it because it is so weightless it would probably bounce around into your face while you run around. I bought this for someone to use in an emergency because they have a compromised lung capacity. However, you have to blow really hard. Otherwise, no sound comes out at all. In an emergency such as fire or running for your life, you may not be able to blow hard. I want to return these, but the option is not available.

Being able to vary the tone by covering one of both holes is really useful when working close to other games using a similar whistle. Nothing more annoying than having the game stop because someone thought the whistle from the next field was for your game. Never an issue when these. Just remember to be consistent with the hole you choose to cover.

I’m all about loud whistles and you may ask, why should I get this one? Variety is important when you are in a compound of multiple fields next to each other and don’t wanna confuse the players on the other picth when you blow your whistle

Not a hollow whistle as expected but still works well.

This whistle has a good, sharp tone, with a lower pitch than the Fox 40 Classic. Not nearly as shrill. I will be using this for 8U games on smaller fields.

As a coach/ref this item is needed to herd the masses and get attention. There is no doubt about the quality and loudness of this whistle. I had the old steel whistle. Just buy this one and you will be impressed.

Very low quality sound for such a great company; I'd expect more from Fox 40 but the Pearl just isn't a good whistle.

I run a fairly large youth basketball and soccer league. Every time I ask a coach which whistles I should get, they always say Fox 40. These whistles work very well for our indoor sports leagues. They do the job well and are loud enough that the kids can hear when the ref blows the whistle.

Bought these for myself and the other Coaches and has not disappointed! The whistles are very loud and perfect for making yourself heard over other noises and gaining everyone's attention.A great purchase and highlighly recommended!
