KYU-6 RGB Wearable LED Light

So, first impression: this little light is really cool! It offers a good selection of RGB color options (no option for white light as far as I can tell, but a good selection of hues), and is surprisingly bright given it's size, weight, and cost. The real strength of this particular LED light though is in its versatility. It's smaller than any other RGB light I've worked with, including other portable models, it's magnetic and can stick to appropriately receptive services, and it comes with a few adhesive magnetic disks to open up the mounting possibilities. Lastly, and most interestingly, it functions as one of those 90s snap bracelets, and can be attached to different things that way, or even worn!In terms of lighting options, as I mentioned earlier it provides multiple hues of red, green and blue light. It also has some cool effects, which I didn't play around with that much, but seem pretty neat.As far as uses go, for me as a photographer I can definitely see using this light as an additional accent light, especially when it comes to hard to reach, or small places. I did a couple test shots for the review, and as you can see it functions really well as a backlight (it's providing the blue light behind the lens blower) even when set against two more powerful lights (the red light in front).The light also has marvelous creative potential. I can definitely see using this for some really cool light painting experiments at some point! Beyond that it has some really solid practical uses, for example, as a wearable flashlight.Overall I'm happy with it. Given what higher end portable RGB lights cost, this one seems like a pretty good value, while offering creative mounting/carrying options that other lights just don't. Also did I mention it doubles as a snap bracelet?! The 90s kid in me is thrilled.

I wanted a small, lightweight, versatile, RGB light I could keep with me all the time, in my camera bag. This works as advertised, and is good for closeups and macro work, as well as providing some backlight bokeh for small subjects. I might have given it a 5-star rating, but have only briefly tested it, so I don't really know about battery life, durability, etc.. Still, I'm happy with this purchase.

I've used the Spiffy KYU-6 RGB Wearable LED Light Bracelet for projects that require a light source close to the subject. First, this bracelet is super durable. I've dropped my bracelet, knocked my bracelet, and it still works just as reliably as it did out of the box. Second, this bracelet will travel anywhere with me. It's easier for me to carry this thing on the wrist than it is for me to remember a pocket flashlight. Third, and most important - this is a really cool illumination system. Not only does it look awesome, but it works even better.
