Adjustable Closet & Laundry Valet - Chrome - Our Strongest Model Ever! by Closet Organizers/Hardware

I purchased 2 of these in order to utilize some closet space that will not allow for a bar or shelves (odd closet). First, I will tell you, that I really feel these are expensive, but I was desperate. New house, needed to unpack - enough said.When they arrived; however, I was pleased to find that they are indeed as heavy duty and well-built as described. They work nicely (or as well as possible under our closet's circumstances) in the area where we installed them. We have had them for several months & use them to hold our heavy coats. They are holding quite a bit of weight, but these laundry valets handle it like it's nothing. I will mention, that normally if one wanted to drop these down (parallel to the wall - rather than their normal in-use hanging position), you could do so with a few shirts on them. We can't really do that, because the weight of the coats makes the laundry valet too heavy to easily adjust it. Even if we wrestled with it, the bulkiness of the coats would make it so it just wouldn't fold down enough to make it worth the effort. We have no need; however, to fold it down while the coats are on it, so these work well for us.I don't see this breaking. The only problem with putting any weight on it, that I can see, would be how well it's installed. Finding a stud is ideal, but if not possible, I suppose wall anchors would have to do.Honestly, I'd like a different closet, but the laundry valet is a good 2nd choice for my clothing storage situation.

This product is likely sufficient for general laundry use, but unfortunately, the hook broke after less than a week of use in a coat closet.It's supposed to be able to hold up to 35lbs, but it seems to not be designed for anything bulky (like winter coats). The connection points for the hook and base plate are very shallow and if the hook flexes to one side too much (like it can when hanging or removing a coat) it disconnects from the base plate with no way to repair.

Perfect for my laundry room needs. Easy install. Love the fact that this space-saving hanger collapses against the wall when not in use. Simple and quick to pull out, strength is another asset.

I used this product in an under the stairs closet instead of a traditional rod to hang jackets on. I mounted two of the valets on the side of the closet. This allows me easier access to the rear of the closet as I do not have to push through a rack of jackets to get to the other side.

Same quality as department stores. Sturdy, shiny chrome, holds quite a bit of weight. I purchased several to add capacity to my closet. Screws are ok if your going directly into wood otherwise you'll need another type of anchor.

Product was well made, with a quality, unblemished finish. It seems ti be pretty sturdy. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is because the screws included with it were too short to provide much support, even when screwed into a stud. I used some longer screws I had on hand and they did the job nicely.
