Absolutely the cushion could absorb jolts of a bumpy road. Each cushion comes with an air pump so that gives the consumer the ability to increase or decrease the cushioning.

There are 25 cells in my cushion. I will say this, you will not regret purchasing this cushion. It comes with a hand air pump that is easy to use & this pump allows you to customize the amount of air in your cushion! I’ve never regretted purchasing this cushion. I give it a 5 star plus rating!

Q: Does this slide around on your truck seat, like when you’re getting out?

I used the cushion on a riding lawnmower to help soften the bouncing mower. I can say it never slid when jumping or or off the mower but that the pillow cushion is fairly heavy and the underside material, what ever it is, does not slip against the secure seat it’s sitting on. Hope this makes sense. It’s really a well made heavy duty cushion! Easy enough to return if you find it otherwise.
