Good sturdy fabric, comfortable
- Made in Vietnam- Pocket on each side with removable hard plastic stays or boning or whatever it's called- Hand wash cold, mild detergent, no bleach. Air dryI might be cheating a little but I'm using this in place of a compression sock. Socks just don't work for me. They aren't restrictive enough around the ankle but the tops and toes are always too tight. I try a lot of them and I just can't find any happy medium. This being completely adjustable plus has no toes, I thought it might work.I'm very glad I took a chance because this is fantastic and I'll be buying another one for the other ankle.I leave the boning out because I don't need support specifically, just trying to handle swelling. With the boning in, it's quite supportive.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many everyday things you buy will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice at no cost to you. Solid well designed ankle brace
Pros: - Curad Performance Series Ironman Ankle Support Brace - Adjustable velcro straps ○ Strong velcro - stays in place - Removable plastic stays provide rigid support & stability - Universal fit ○ both left or right ankle ○ Men or women (even fit my 11 yr old daughter) - Visual instructions on side of box - Microban material - keeps product cleaner ○ Prevents growth of stains or odor that causes bacteria to grow - Soft material against the skinCons: - NoneI ordered this for my 11 yr old daughter. She does gymnastics which has a lot of wear and tear on her feet, ankles, and knees. I noticed that she has been complaining more that her feet/ankle hurts from all of the tumbling they do. So I ordered this for her hoping that it would help provide more support. Because she uses this for gymnastics / bare footed, the thickness of the brace does not really affect her. I do have to say though if you were to wear this with foot ware you would need to have alittle extra room in your shoe for the brace. You can wear this barefooted or with socks and or socks & shoes. You can also have the brace either against the skin or over a sock. The plastic stays provide more support but since she is tumbling with them and has to have lots of flexibility in her feet we decided to remove the plastic supports. I highly recommend this product to others. I feel the price is fair and well worth it. It provides great support.

Works extremely well in a pinch, could be cheaper
I recently twisted my ankle coming down stairs carrying a lot of things and stepped in the wrong spot. I fell to the ground and dropped everything as my ankle bent inward. I started using elastic wraps but I needed something that wouldn't allow for too much bending and provided better support. That's where this product comes in.Upon first sight it seemed like a complicated mess of bands but I was able to figure out how to use it rather easily and then realized there were instructions on the side of the box. The materials are durable with good elastic grip. I didn't find the ankle part too universal as my legs got skinny from a leg injury some time ago. I had to pull the upper ankle strap tight to get it to fit which bunched up the material a bit. The rest of the straps worked well and it made for a fairly secure ankle wrap that didn't allow for too much movement. There is a removable plastic support on one side for support but cuts in slightly to my foot just below my ankle which at the moment isn't bothering me too much but it's enough for me to know it's there. There are many similar products on the market, some cheaper and some double or triple the price of this one. I think it's priced a few dollars more than what I would expect it to be, but it works well for its intended use of light to mild sprains. So far it's better than elastic bandages, but I may have a worse sprain and might require something else. It looks like I won't have problems getting my boots on but and should be fine with sneakers. Overall I would recommended the product and better if it's on sale.

Not bad
Definitely a differently designed ankle support with all straps. I found the straps around the foot to be uncomfortable to wear as they dig into your arch when you wear supportive shoes (like sneakers). I found it easier to wear while wearing softer slippers, and it gave support to my foot that slippers don't give. This strap-brace can be worn on either ankle, though it won't really work for larger ankles. The loop area for the velcro hooks to adhere to isn't large enough to allow for a larger fit. Not a brace I'd really recommend.
