Was super excited to receive this.Only to find instructions underneath the delivery sticker.Also it melting and breaking our stove.No response in refunding.

70 year old Japanese dad approves
My Dad is a Japanese native who grew up in Japan and has been living in the US for almost 30 years. Fresh Taiyaki is impossible to come by where we live here in the US, so for Christmas I got him this maker. He was absolutely giddy and has been addicted to it since! If he gains 20 pounds this year, I know it'll be my fault. You can easily make delicious, fresh, warm Taiyaki with this device and a basic out-of-the-box waffle mix (yes there are better recipes from scratch, but we found the box recipe was good enough for us!). After a few practice batches, my dad was a pro. We use it on a glass-top stove and it works fine, especially if you follow the directions and pre-heat the pan on the stove.

It’s TOO perfect
Alright so this worked TOO well. I was expecting it to be a disaster but it worked so well that I ate 7 of them that I filled with Nutella and got sick afterwards. I used an online Tayaki recipe that I found that worked wonders. Maybe next time I’ll have friends over because I was UNWELL after I ate them all. The skillet is truly non stick and the product is well built and unbelievably easy to clean. Also takes up literally 0 room in my cabinet.

Soul Snack TAIYAKI
Pretty shape, Non-stick. You can put inside whatever you like, I like.....#1ham and cheese, #2 custard cream, #3chocolate cream etc..... I recommend that you have to watch some how to video before you make Taiyaki. Enjoy!

its not even a little non stick
So will it make lovely fished items? yes. Will you impress your friends? yes. do the fish almost always break because they're stuck? yes. This item is not even a little non stick. i had to rub it with olive oil to get them to start coming out of the pan decently. They make good fish shapes with a nice visible design but i broke probably close to 50% of the ones I made (i made 18? i think), really disappointing.also.. and spoiler alert: its really hard to clean because everything is stuck to it.
