The hinges get stuck easily. A bit of oil in the factory would be a big improvement.

Like others have said, you have to be extremely accurate with hole placement. These hinges are unforgiving and once inserted you have to destroy them to get them out. The value for 24 was good compared to $7-8 each. I’ll use them again but will probably use dowel centers on the first set of holes to mark the other pieces.

Good quality. Make sure the position is correct before inserting. Hard to remove for repositioning. Great price for bag of 24. Less than $2.00 each. Some places charge $13 per pair. I make jewelry boxes and they are great for 3/4 inch material. 1/2 inch material is hard to get placed with out drilling through either side.One way is to place correctly is to use a 3/8 dowel jig and a spade bit. This keeps the hole at 90° to the work and the spade doesn't wander. Then redrill with the 10mm.Also, be sure to loosen the screw quite a bit. This moves a wedge inside the hinge and makes placement easy without lubricant. Titighten the screw to expand the hinge inside the hole.Makes a box look classy without a lot of expense.

Just know installing these takes precision and thought. They work great when install properly but again, not for an inexperienced but worth it if you take your time or want to learn. I suggest practicing on scrap wood before doing anything to the end piece.

I bought theses in the past and they were great. The next bag I got 14 of them the screws were stuck and I couldn't get them out. I ended up heating them with a torch and I was able to get most of them out. 5 of them I can't use. So I don't know if they put lock tight on them or what. But now the price went way up. I paid $30 and now they are $46. Big jump. Ok, I went a head and got another bag of these. This bag was perfect. All the screws worked and they seemed to fit better. The other ones I had to ream the hole a little because they were too tight. The price did go way up but still the best price for what is out there. I just ordered another bag so I hope they are as good as this bag was.
