A great knife indeed!!! I mostly use it for slicing meat before cooking it, but you can use it for pretty much everything. The blade is scalpel sharp and it's perfect for those thin slices of fillets that we all love so much. My husband love the fact that is quite long so you can slice a large chunk of meat without having to go two times through. The handle is robust but very easy to grip and hold and the sheath is always a lovely addition.

WOW !! Yet another great knife from Dalstrong, beautifully made and well balanced, surgically sharp, the scooped out sides are also very good as they help to stop any food sticking as you slice, the great length of the blade allows for ease of cutting in one single motion.Thanks Dalstrong you have done it again ! I have 16 dalstrong knives and love them all go for shogun series

1.Nach dem auspacken hatte ich den Eindruck dass die Klinge verchromt ist, sieht aus wie ein Spielzeugmesser.2.Ausserdem ist die Klinge keinesfalls handgeschliffen wie angegeben, man sieht noch deutliche Schleifspuren einer groben Schleifscheibe. Ich habe die Schneide eine Stunde mit meinen Wassersteinen nachbearbeitet.3.Die angegebene Härte von 62 HRC kann meiner Meinung nach keinesfalls stimmen, die Klinge ist so butterweich dass man sie in alle Himmelsrichtungen verbiegen kann. Ich besitze Damastmesser mit dieser Härte, die wären bei einer solchen Beanspruchung schon lange gebrochen.Das einzige nützliche an diesem Messer ist die beiliegende Scheide. Der Grund weshalb ich das Teil behalte ist da gute Design und der günstige PreisG.Schreiber
