I have used this several times and does the job well. Size does great for seams in my quilting blocks and other things I sew. Does just as good or better than higher prices Clappers. I think I will purchase a few more at this price. I recommend

If you sew, or simply like crisp lines this is for you. By simply placing the clapper on a newly press seam after just a second or two, the seam is locked into place with no buckling or wrinkling.

Who would think that a piece of wood would actually help in ironing. Well it works fantastic. I guess the old world can still teach the modern Era new tricks.

It's a nice size & weight. Only reason it gets a four is it wasn't as smooth as I expected so took a very fine piece of sandpaper and gently went over it to make it perfect. Now it's smooth as a "baby's bottom". Won't snag now!If you don't already know, it's meant to hold the heat of an iron to make a crease or set a seam nice and flat. Works. Great.

I prefer these clappers to the more tapered ones. They give a more complete press to the surrounding fabric. I have 6 of these. Don’t use other tapered ones much anymore.

I have a couple of other clappers but these are the best and I will be ordering a couple more. I like the weight and size. They have a nice smooth finish. They are far more reasonably priced then ones sold as quilting tools. I don't feel I have to add pressure to get the results I'm looking for. I'm enjoy quilt making and use a seam roller, then press seams and use the clappers to get a beautiful flat seam especially when cross seams join and points meet. With these clappers my quilt blocks finish more to the size they are supposed to because seams and cross seams are flat.

I'm a quilter and I love the weight of this product to put on my seams after I'm pressed them down. They're perfect every time
