Glad I bought it Second-Hand
It's not a bad book at all! It's very informative and it has a lot of recipes. However now I understand what everyone means by it looks like it came through a copier. There are no colors inside, as a matter of fact there aren't many pictures at all. I feel like it wouldn't be so much worth brand new knowing I wouldnt get many pictures, and what I do get is grayscale. Lots of yummy recipes, I'm a sucker for the dessert sections always in these cookbooks... Milk Chocolate Chunk Cookies with Orange & Pecan?? Yumm 😋 definitely worth if you like to collect low FODMAP cookbooks like me

Good basic info on what FODMAP is and why it helps manage digestive disorders.
Like the straight forward info on what FODMAP means . Basic shopping list for menus and in general .I can look past the physical book print quality at the low price.

Black and white photocopied cookbook
This is a Black and White photocopied Cookbook. As far as the contents are concerned, it appears to be legit. This should be listed in the item description...the front and back covers are as shown on Amazon. All of the pictures are in black-and-white.

This book is genuinely exceptional about the topics.
It was extremely simple to peruse and comprehend. I likewise love the tone of this book and the affable way it was composed.

Inaccurate information, not reliable
The formatting of the book is horrible. But more importantly, the “information” in it is wrong. There are so many contradictions to what Monash University has put out (the place that created the low fodmap approach to managing IBS). We wanted a recipe resource, and this book quickly got closed once we realized the errors.

Somewhat Useful
So many here conflicts that I'm confused. She says on page 7 that soft cheese are a no-no, then includes them on page 9 as a fridge staple. On page 7 she says pulses (of which chickpeas are one) are bad, then says they're a pantry staple. Which is it? On the cover a half avocado is the center of the salad, but she lists as a “bad” vegetable. Beets on the bad vegetables and on the good. Same with chickpeas, squash and more than a few others. When I examined the book on Amazon, I decided to buy it because of the pantry and fridge staple lists. However I see now that they were probably slapped together hastily as an afterthought requested by the publisher, just to get her recipes in print. Some are interesting, but I'm a competent enough cook to have figured them out myself.

Mixed feelings
Great for a beginner to help with ideas. A bit heavy on the smoothie recipes. Should check list. There are quite a few ingredients on the elimination list. Not for elimination month.

Print edition is in black and white not colour!
Be warned, the print edition of this book is black and white, not colour as in the online preview of the Kindle version!! My daughter is very disappointed and is deciding whether I should return it. Nothing looks appetising in black and white!
