I enjoyed it for the 1 Month that it worked.
After receiving and rinsing the heater I put it in the tank and only after it was submerged and in place was it ever turned on. I always had it set to 74°F, the past week it was creeping up to 77°F. House is set to 71°F and is not near baseboard or external heaters. Tomorrow would be 1 month, tonight my thermometer on the other side of the tank (55 Gallon) read 81°F. I immediately unplugged and removed the heater. I grabbed a spare thermometer it was also over 80°F.Pulled the case off to check for cracks, and I dont see anything. I don't leave reviews, but hopefully I'm saving someone else from having a tank nuked because of this heater. My fish are fine and I'm glad I caught this early.

Quality product at good price
About a month ago I needed a new mag large glass cleaner. I looked at options and bought a Hygger. Quality was amazing. So when I was looking for a new heater for my QT tank, I decided to AQQA a chance. Price was very reasonable and build quality seems very heavy duty. I like the external controller and LEDs. I left in a bucket overnight and temps stayed steady. Very pleased so far.

Good Heater for Turtles
So far it seems to be working. I like that it has a plastic cage protecting the glass from direct contact to the turtles. I do not have fish but I do plan to have plants in here soon so I will update this. As of right now it took about an hour to heat up 20-30G of water in a 75G tank from 72F to 78F. I wish it included at least one decimal but it works. As seen I have another thermo in the tank to measure the accuracy. It reads about 1 degree less. I have a mercury thermo in here too that reads 78 degrees. So on average it is about 77.7 degrees which is great! I love that the controls are on the outside of the tank and seems to hold well. It was suppose to come with 4 suction cups I only got 3 and the actual heater only has 2 slots so I assume the other 2 are replacements. Very happy I hope since this heater cost about twice as much as my normal ones (which lasted about 8-11 months) this one will at least last twice as long at 16-24 months. If its longer I will update this! For those worried about what most people think is corrosion is not corrosion its a build up of sand and other materials. The better your filter the less build up it will have. I recommend cleaning it once to twice a month depending on your filter and type of turtles. If you keep it clean it should also last longer. The only reason my last heater only lasted me 11 months is because I moved and during the move the glass broke. If the glass did not break I believe it would have lasted longer (it had no build up) and so far that 11 months was the longest lasting heater I have owned. So lets hope this one lasts 2 years!Update the longer i have it plugged in the bigger the difference between temperature. Its now 2.4 degrees off. Again no big deal for a turtle but deadly to some plants and fish. Mix feelings about this now so I changed it from 5 stars to 4.

Can't hit 79 degrees, it's NOT accurate within 1 degree as stated
I had to order this because my heater quit unexpectedly. I like the heaters with the covers. I like to have my freshwater aquarium at 79 degrees, and for some reason, this heater cannot hit and hold that. I've included pictures. The product description says it's accurate within ONE degree; it is NOT! I first set it to 78 degrees, and it said it was 81! That's 3 degrees more! And my other thermometer registered 82.8 degrees! Just about cooked my fish! So I set it to 77 degrees. Its thermometer said it was 79 - but my other thermometer said 82! After a few days, finally got it close to what I want - I set it at 78, its thermometer says 78, my thermometer says 79.2. If you buy this heater, I highly recommend you have an additional thermometer in the tank to read the water temp.

I will definitely buy more
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I’ve a hard time trying to find the right heater for my tank during the winter season. Luckily, I found this heater and gave it a try. To my surprise it came with LED screen that tells you the temperature. I've been checking the temperature constantly since the last week and the temperature never once dropped even at night time when it was around 50 degrees (the tank is in my garage). To double check and make sure it was reading correctly, I use a temperature gun to check and sure it matches. My fish was able to bloom with constant temperature. I am trying to raise competition fish so it's really important. I would recommend this heater to all my friends.

How to use it
I can't believe I didn't get this sooner. Works perfectly.Heats very slowly so I believe it is safe to use with fish in the water, had to raise mine from 70 to 76F and all my fish are doing ok.I don't think it had instructions but it was easy to figure out.It has just one button, click to raise the heat up and if you need to go lower just keep going up until it loops back to the start.Hold the button for a long time to change it from Celsius to Fahrenheit.

Well built!!
I can't believe how well built this heater is! It reminds me of the good old heaters you bought back in the 80's, it those weren't digital. This one is and it's so easy to use! So far it's keeping the temp perfectly where I set it at 75°!! I like this heater. Definitely recommend this product.

7 Months of ease then died
Easy to use and operate. My Turtle loves messing with it and she never lets it stay on the glass. But for the last couple days I usually found her in the corner huddled up next to the filter pipes so I checked the temp and it was down to 70-73 not her normal 80-83. As it turns out the heater died after only 7 months of use. I had plenty of water flow past the heater, even though it never stayed on the wall, so I know thats not the issue. I just get tired of spending 30-60 bucks every 3-10 months on heaters. I think this has a 1 year warranty but I have to figure out how to get that taken care of. In the mean time I'll be looking for a new one.

Almost crashed my tank...
This heater worked great for about three months and then almost crashed my tank. I heard an alarm on my saltwater aquarium and found that the heater was stuck on the highest setting and that the water temperature was rising. I wasn’t able to adjust the setting and the display screen was non-responsive so I quickly unplugged it and won’t be plugging it back in.

For me not worth the money
Package says a +/- 1 degree variation, put it in a pail water to check it out, after a hour with it set at 78° f it registered 90°f and still heating.
