Love this sink, but definitely not cheap
The media could not be loaded. Â we remodeled our kitchen and installed a prep sink next to the stove. Thought this would be perfect for cleaning veggies/fruits etc. It's a high end faucet, and not cheap, but well worth the money in my opinion. I love it and a great addition for a second sink or bar sink.

I was so excited for this
Arrived with some parts broken, hansgrohe does not support items bought on Amazon, no help. Amazon said return it and order another, price had increased a LOT. I repaired it myself installed it. I got a black work station sink with a stainless steel strainer that fits in the sink. The waterfall feature is nice for washing vegetables in it. The sprayer that pulls out is a little tough to pull out and does NOT spray... odd. I kind of miss the spray feature.

Funky, cool and avant garde for your kitchen...
This is an exceptional faucet that does about 24 things you never thought of a faucet doing. Not really, but at least three things here are kind of mind-bogglingly new to me, at least...But first, this is a statement piece. Elegantly modern and sophisticated, you need a countertop, sink and, actually, entire kitchen that will support this piece because it's kind of a Ferrari of a kitchen faucet and you don't want to house it in a falling-down garage. But, of course, the Ferrari can be removed from the garage and driven. This faucet can never be separated from its surroundings in your kitchen. So first, you want to consider whether your kitchen can support this kind of statement piece. If you think it can, then you will be pleased with the work-of-art faucet. Let me list a few of the novelties you'll find here:1) The rectangular vertical surface at the front of the faucet base may look to you like avant garde decoration. It is decorative, but it's also functional. The front of the base is actually permeated with dozens of little holes that allow a kind of showerhead/waterfall effect from the front of the base, available at the push of a button on the side of the base. Water jets out of the vertical face toward the front of the sink. Thus the sink must be large enough to use this feature. If your sink is shallow, the water jets will pour over the edge of your counter onto the floor.2) The removable sprayer at the end of the faucet (yes, there is a separate integrated sprayer head in addition to the shower face) extends from a hose held in what Grohe calls an sBox beneath the sink. The sBox is an enclosure for the sprayer hose which keeps an exposed hose from getting tangled in the midst of the plumbing and whatnot beneath your sink. If you have an integrated sprayer head on your sink, you know the problem this box is designed to forestall. This sBox needs to be situated carefully, adding to the complexity of installing your new faucet. BUT, despite its unique features, this is not otherwise a particularly difficult faucet to install.3) Finally, the faucet's temperature and water pressure are controlled by a small lever on the right side of the base, an arrangement that though becoming more common is still unusual.hansgrohe is a German manufacturer of plumbing fixtures majority owned by Masco Corporation, also owner of Peerless, Delta and Brizo fixture lines. hansgrohe customer service is top notch. You can expect the highest quality materials and workmanship and many years of use from a hansgrohe faucet. This is a delightful faucet if you have the kitchen to support it.

Not What I Expected.
When I saw this faucet, I was really intrigued by the design, the matte black finish, and being made by Hansgrohe, I expected something top notch. I have a few other Hansgrohe plumbing fixtures in my home, and every single piece is extremely functional, works better than I expected, was usually easy to install, and all have left me more than satisfied, up till now. This faucet, especially for the asking price of $580.85 (as of this review), has left me feeling blue, and a little deceived (not deceived by Hansgrohe, they are are well established global company, with a long history of producing well made, quality plumbing parts and fixtures, and honestly, I don't know what happened here, with this faucet). The faucet is well made, with high quality parts, it's just the faucet, in my opinion, is lacking in several ways. I do love the look of this, the base with the jets, is a great idea, but the jets alone don't make a complete kitchen faucet, just a part of the package. The spout, with the pull out sprayer, in my opinion, is horribly designed. The shape itself is fine, it's the pull out sprayer, and it's lack of anything that makes a kitchen sprayer useful. The lack of any water pressure is an issue for me, I need at least a little water pressure to help keep things clean, this just doesn't give it. Also, the pull out sprayer, is completely awkward to handle. The model I have has the spout that comes uo out of the base and turns 90 degrees. This actually pulls straight out opposed to straight down, and I find it hard to get the sprayer in the right position to use. The jets on the base are activated by a push in button on the side of the base, and works as it should. Unfortunately, when the jets are off, and only the faucet should be working, the jets will suddenly become activated when the water is turned on to high. The matte black finish is nice, but shows the minerals that are in my drinking water, and not cool at all. Installation is a breeze. Kinda bummed by the lack of performance from this faucet by Hansdgrohe. I expect almost perfect form and function from Hansgrohe, and usually get just that, but not here. Made for single hole countertops, and single drain hole countertops. This faucet would be perfect as a prep area sink, for cleaning foods. But as a main kitchen sink, just doesn't work for me.One last thing, I contacted customer support about the faucet not working correctly (the jets coming on by themselves when the water was turned on fully) to see if I could get a part to fix it, or a replacement unit. They did respond requesting for info (model #, where bought, etc., etc.,) but it's been weeks now, and after sending several emails about my concerns, have yet to hear back from them. I wanted to wait a few weeks to see how they responded to my concerns, before I posted a review. They have yet to respond after I sent the info back they wanted several weeks ago. If I had paid $600 bucks for this (this was received from Amazon Vine to use, test, and give and honest review, good or bad), I'd be pretty upset tonight. Very disappointed, and really surprised, this was made by Hansgrohe, I expect so much more from them.
