I am not of huge fan of charcoal grilling since I do not have the patience for starting charcoal briquettes, a having to keep charcoal and lighter fluid on hand, etc. I prefer natural gas or propane. However if you are the tried and true charcoal grillers that can't resist the smoky flavor it adds, then check this one out. It has a clever hinged lid that swings to the side so your hands never go over the flames when opening or closing it. It also has a steel bucket to collect ashes (as opposed to a cheap metal tray). The only negatives I can find is that it does not allow you to adjust the height of the food over the flame, and this unit is not cheap! Buy that has not hindered me from grilling great chicken, steaks, vegetables, fish and burgers with the wonderful smoky flavor that makes charcoal grilling worth the trouble. Flare-ups are not a problem, and adjustments for air intake are convenient. If you do a lot of grilling and prefer charcoal, this is for you.

I like this because it is easy to replace on the grill. Now I have to wait to see how long it last.
