I installed this on my 08 Nightster. I ended up breaking one of the straps trying to get this think tight. I figured out the best way is to run the strap from the inside of the bag around the frame back into the bag and buckle inside the bag. The top strap around the upper frame on the back of the battery box. Bottom left strap around the swing arm and bottom right around the swing arm. But then all on loosely and then tighten to get positioned where you like it.

As others have already mentioned, this bag is not the best quality. Although it looks good, the straps are too thin and cheap. It feels like you can’t put anything heavy inside. Also the backing of the bag where the straps go through, needs to have some sort of thick plastic backing, so that the bag can support heavy weight. Oh well, I’ll use this for small items, not my three heavy bike locks. (Using bag for an electric bicycle)

Then if needed I can still pick up a couple of pints of ice cream or tall boys.Cons: slim to none might have difficulties mounting on some bikes but if you’re creative you’ll make it work.(note do make sure you buy the correct side bag if your exhaust is on the right get a left bag and so on)Pros: none of my contents have ever gotten wet. Looks good. Easy storage on the fly. Not super bulky.

Easy to install. Leather installation straps could be a bit bigger, and I wouldn't mind if the clasp was a bit sturdier. Overall a great product for the price
