Works Well for Gardens, and Frost resistant
It was easy to plant into a fall tilled garden. We wanted a cover crop this winter to experiment with some soil health. I also wanted to see if there was an nitrogen capture from snowfall. (old wives tale). I thought this would work well to hold the snow down. By the time the first frost came, it was almost a foot tall in places. It has yellowed some, but seems to be alive still well after a hard freeze. Our strawberry plants are growing amongst the cover crop, and they have survived their fifth year of freezing temps. We are planning on tilling it in the spring ground work. I am guessing it will be tall enough that it will need be mowed before tilled so it does not wrap up around the tines .So far, no complaints.

Bought for chickens
It been about two weeks since I planted seems to be sprouting well. Can’t wait to see all my chickens and ducks enjoying it.

I didn’t buy enough.
I bought this over the general winter mix because most winter mixes have rye. The type that you use for grain. I’m very allergic to it, so I didn’t want to use it as a cover crop. Instead I used this and some winter wheat that I bought separately.I’m planting this in the same areas that I planted corn and potatoes. So far, so good. It’s been planted for a month and it looks great. The only problems that I’ve had were my fault. Birds got some of it, and apparently I didn’t get all the potatoes out. Oops.Next year I’ll probably buy several pounds to cover the rest of the garden. This small bag barely covered one of my raised beds. It’s 2x22 ft. Most of my raised beds are bigger, and I have several, most of which are 4x25. Hopefully that will be enough.

Great germination rate. Healthy cover crop!
Initially the price is a bit steep for the amount of seeds you get. After about 3 days the seeds begin to really show their true value. I’m pretty impressed with how many actually popped, rooted and sprouted.Great little cover crop for cannabis growers.I have a very small indoor medical grow (legal here in Oklahoma) and this is the first time I’ve used a cover crop. I was weary that not many seeds would actually sprout but I haven’t found a single seed that hasn’t. I do have great super soil, decent light and a controlled temperature so the seeds have all they need to mature. I am going to see how these do as a companion plant for my cannabis. Living soil inside can be quite difficult to maintain without adding amendments. I’m hopeful these will add some needed nutrients to the soil after harvest. Will update with soil test results!

Little expensive
These are cool if you’re only planting a small section. A 50 pound bag of clover cost around 50$

EVERYTHING Came Up!
I got these seeds last year and was so happy with the results that I got them this winter too for our 5 raised beds. It’s totally brilliant because you can clip the greenery and add to salads or smoothies or whatever.

Doesn’t grow well even though I gave it good care.
Even though I planted in rich soil and watered frequently, very little grew.Maybe 10% grew. Very disappointed.I have other brands I purchased and I will try them now, hopefully with better results.I have purchased $$$$$$ for hundreds of item with Amazon and this is the first negative review I have written.
