LEGO Marvel Spider-Man Miles Morales Mech Armor 76171 Collectible Construction Toy, New 2021 (125 Pieces)

My 9 year old grandson, who loves Spider-Man, loved this Lego set and put this together quickly.

This set is very fun to play with, includes an extremely nice and detailed exclusive figure and is a good price. The set took me about 20 minutes to build. I greatly enjoy it as something to play with and as a display piece. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: When I first saw pictures of this mech I was a bit cynical, but now that I have it, I love it. It is very posable and has many points of articulation. I got a particular sense of satisfaction when I snapped the joints together. The web pieces come in a cool trans-blue color. The pair of web handcuffs which are attached to the back of the mech are a nice touch. Miles Morales is also a great figure and his hood piece is made out of a hard plastic. His legs are molded out of two plastic colors and I've been playing with this figure for hours. He fits neatly into the mech and doesn't move around when played with. At 125 pieces for a bit less than 10 bucks, this set has a good price to part count. My only cons are that there is a great deal of space between the torso of the mech and where Miles is situated. This makes Miles's arms very visible when playing with the mech from the side. Also, the foot pieces of the mech are somewhat thin. I wish Lego had made the mech's feet a bit wider to give it a bit more stability when stood up. Overall, however I'm surprisingly pleased with my purchase and couldn't recommend it enough!

Amazing! Exactly what my 7 year old grandson asked for! Challenging, but satisfying! Pieces are durable and colors make assembly easy.

The price point of these mech builds makes them great to get a bunch and have the kids play with them a bit more rough than some of the other more elaborate Lego sets that shatter when you look at them wrong. We have this one, Thor, Cap, and Iron man and my young boys (3 & 4) will battle them and there will be parts strewn across the living room floor. The consistency of design means they are super easy to rebuild and the 4 year old can usually get them all back together without re-looking at the instructions, or will sometimes mix and match so that Cap has one of Thor's arms and can hold the hammer or some other crazy hybrids.

It was a Christmas gifts. It was missing the important peace to the build. Without this peace he couldn’t go any farther in the build. He had a peace left over from another one he was build. So if u don’t mind please make sure all the peace’s are their it’s not the first time I have ordered a Lego set and not all the leaves are their and legos are a lot of money to not have the most important part of them.

It seems to me that the "value" you get from LEGO can vary a lot. Some of the $15ish LEGO sets have barely any pieces or complexity and some of the sets that have as much complexity as these mech suits go for 2-3x the price. So I have probably gotten around 10 of these different mech suits over the years and they are always well received. Challenging for 7-9 years old without being frustrating.

It was a perfect nostalgic stocking stuffer for me 30+ adult son!
