This shucker takes a little practice, but it saves so much time when you get the hang of it. The overall build of the tool is pretty solid and it has some weight to it. They include all the other little necessities you'll need to keep your hands free from injury. They even include a small clamp to hold the tool on your bench although we opted for a larger clamp of our own to accommodate our thicker surface.What sets this apart is the various grooves in the plate. These grooves provide leverage on all shapes and sizes. They also make for a quicker turnover as you don't have to play with the angle or direction of the shell each time you pick one up.The lever works well at all heights, although it's a little skinny in your hand. We might wrap it in something more comfortable and ergonomic.The little wing nut in the adjustable height tends to come loose, but that's also an easy fix we might choose to modify at some point.The shucker, clamp and glove are not the highest quality, but it's a cute attempt and those don't reflect in my review of the actual tool at hand.Overall, the plate design and lever are the most valuable. A few things to modify as we get moving next spring, again, but we love this!

Easy to set up, and hold in your hands. Great design to make it easy to get my treat. Love the way it’s just so easy to start shucking off my oysters.
