Great little notebooks. The paper is soft & smooth, not real heavy, but great for fountain pens. This paper "drapes" well; I hope that makes sense. What I mean is it truly lies flat when the book is open, partly due to the type of binding used, partly due to the limpness of the paper. I like my paper limp; it should "drape." It's fantastic for fountain pens. There is some ghosting, but I only write on one side, so that's not a problem for me. I have used nibs from XF to 1.1 mm stubs on it, and some very wet pens, and it has performed admirably for all of them. Almost as nice as Tomoe River at about 1/3 the cost. I have recently ordered an A5-sized travelers notebook, and I plan to continue using these books for that notebook. They're readily available and reasonably priced, and I love the quality of the paper. Can't ask for much more than that!

Along with many others around the web, I tried these notebooks at the suggestion of Ira Glass (just do a Google search for his Lifehacker "How I Work" interview). Since my first order, I have ordered 2 more packs just to have on hand. I love them. They're perfect for calculations, to-do lists, or other quick notes that I don't necessarily need to index, but want to definitely keep general records of. I wish I had known about these when I was in school -- they would have made great subject notebooks (they're about the right amount of pages per book for a light to medium notetaker's semester). I was a little worried about the "kraft" notebook covers, but they've held up very well in my messenger bag on daily commutes.The only con that I've seen (not enough to warrant a star deduction) is that in some notebooks, the glue is a little uneven and pastes part of the page to the cover, making the front of the page not quite as usable. With my uses for these notebooks, it doesn't phase me, and others who need more of a structure can just use this page as an index.

These MUJI A5 notebooks are pretty nice. I use other large notebooks for most projects, but 30 pages is great for traveling which I do a lot. They fit fine into my laptop bag and allow or note taking or journaling on the road. I do not write with a fountain pen, so I cannot attest to how well the paper handles them, but it does fine with pencil and gel pens. The covers are not thick, but are fine for a notebook with only 30 pages. The only problem I had is that one of the notebooks was badly damaged in shipping. I probably could have gotten a replacement, but I was getting ready to travel in the next couple of days. I ordered two 5 packs and only one notebook was damaged in shipment. The price was good considering that there are 5 notebooks or 150 pages in total.

These notebooks are great. The pages are more of a cream color than regular notebook paper, and are very smooth-feeling. I have small handwriting, so I really like the thinner 6mm rule (thinner than college-ruled). I also like the grey lines - dark enough to see easily, but not so dark that it competes with pencil/pen. The portable size is great for throwing into a tote bag, or even larger purse. The number of pages per notebook is reasonable. Each notebook has a different binding color - dark grey, olive green, red, golden yellow and black - which could be useful for color-coding if one wanted to. The muted colors provide just enough visual interest for me, and are not garish. The cover is like a thicker cardstock material.The price here is not too shabby compared to other similar products on Amazon. However, it is about twice as much as the price at the store. I would give it 5 stars if it were the store price because it would be such a great value. At this price, however, it is not as much of a no-brainer for me to get. So, 4 stars.

I'm obsessed with these notebooks. The paper is on par with my Leuchtturm 1917 journal, which was a wonderful surprise given the price. I'm a fountain pen junkie, so I'm always looking for budget-friendly notebooks that can stand up to free-flowing ink. These notebooks are perfect and so, so inexpensive.Yes, these only have 30 sheets per book, but I've found that I'm starting to really prefer a thinner notebook. They're easier to tote around, and even if you are working on a longer project, you really don't need to carry all 100+ pages of it (at least I don't). Besides, with the 5-pack, you're getting 150 pages for under ten bucks, so it's still an amazing deal that won't leave you wanting for pages.The covers are a little on the thin side, but still functional. I like to glue decorated paper to the covers, and I've found that this does wonders for sturdiness. The key is to use a good quality spray glue to attach the paper to the covers. After that quick mod, this notebook is perfection.

I use these notebooks for college (studying history) and they are awesome! Discovered these when I was in high school and wouldnt use any other notebook!

These are great. The paper is very smooth— I prefer a little more tooth, but I think most people will like the feel of these pages. I like how the spines are different colors. I use these in my Muji plastic folder thing— kind of like a travelers notebook that holds multiple booklets including a monthly and weekly planner that I bought at the Muji store in Portland. These work great as booklets for additional notes, bullet journaling, list making.

I've written a lot with pencil in these and fin that it handles all of them very well. It makes a great paper to test out the different feels of the graphite, smooth, scratchy, etc. The only think I would avoid with the paper is any pen or pencil with a fiercely sharp point. It's easy to leave an imprint in the paper. Words great with my fountain pens as well.

These a good books, though super thin and small, but if you are in need of a small book this one is great, doesnt take up any room.

Great feeling when you write on these and combined with their pens you get the excellent flow to your writing.

No trato nada bien a estos cuadernos pero a pesar de esto, se mantienen siempre intactos y las hojas nunca me han salido.
