Love these. They work well over a hoodie. Kinda rough on the head if not cushioned again but worth the money.

These 22 NRR ear muffs do what they are supposed to do which is cut down on volume and soften the sounds the ear hears. These ear muffs do not fully eliminate the sounds around you but rather make them easier for the ears to tolerate. For example, I tested these using a gas powered mower and an electric sander. I heard both the mower and the sander but the impact of that sound on my ears was reduced by about 50%. I actually bought these to use with my electric sander. They do exactly what I wanted them to do and I really like the color. Now I have an average size adult head and these muffs are very tight. After about 30 minutes I really need to take these off as the tightness get intense. When I first unpackaged them, I wasn't sure they would even go on my head but they did. These are nice quality muffs but if you have a large head, you might want to consider a different model in the Walker brand.

My autistic son wears headphones 100% of the time when he is out of the house. He wasn’t picking these up to wear and we figured out they were too tight and put too much pressure on his head and ears. I think these would be better for someone who wears them occasionally.

I use mine exclusively on the air boat. Works great and they pack small.

This is great ear protection, no frills. All you need for a workshop.

Decent hearing protection when at the shooting range

Overall, its cheap so I can't really complain too much, other than the size. It runs a bit small for me, but it is compact and folds nicely. It doesn't cancel out too much sound, you can still hear your own fingers if you snap them, but again at around $10 it's a decent buy.
