Looks great and sturdy
Was able to line it up with the existing holes from the previous rack. I like how it is adjustable for that reason. The finish is nice, and matched perfectly with the other brushed nickel fixtures that I bought separately. It was easy to install.

Perfect
I was so tired of my towel bar falling down at my run down apartment, so I just bought this and asked a handyman to help me put it up (since I didn't have a lot of experience and didn't want to break anything in a rental). He doubted my measurements but I asked him to just try, and what do you know it fit absolutely perfectly and looked great. Never fell down again and looked better than that management would have ever bought.

Needs better instructions
Instructions as clear as mud. You MUST loosen the set screw with the Allen wrench, then loosen the screw in the middle which holds on the center part!

Good value
There are no instructions so they assume you know what you're doing. I found it fairly easy to install and it seems very sturdy. For the price, it is an excellent value.

Very sturdy and well-made.
This towel rack was much stronger than I had expected and felt solidly built and of good quality. Easy to install if you have ever had a drill in your hand and my wife is pleased; what else matters?

Decent value but cheap installation hardware
I bought this product because if I'm installing a towel bar, it's going in the studs and this allows you to expand/contract the bar to the right dimensions. Works really well for small bathrooms that have off-standard spacing between studs. I don't waste time with ineffective wall anchors. With that being said, if planning on installing in studs, save yourself a lot of trouble and aggravation, and go to your big box store and buy some real screws. The ones provided were made with the softest metal (what do you expect from cheap Chinese stuff). I purchased 4 Zinc wood screws (8 X 1-1/14 inch). These are slightly bigger than the ones provided, but I don't believe the ones provided are imperial standard. I used a 7/64" bit (as the screws had a coarse thread). Installed with no problem. I stripped two of the ones provided very easily. Decided to back them out before they got permanently stuck. As far as the bar, it felt solid and the internal bushings inside give it a good firm grip when adjusting. I expected it to be loose (once again, always a gamble with cheap chinese products). With this price, I probably would buy again and spend the $1.75 for real screw hardware.
