Skip Hop Baby Play Gym, Treetop Friends, Green/Brown

We had bought Fisher-Price Luv U Zoo Deluxe Musical Mobile Gym for our son (now 3 months old) and he would just lay there looking at the lights. When we bought the Skip Hop Treetop, he actually started grabbing for the toys and playing with them. He particularly likes the little green bird that plays the sound of birds tweeting in the woods.I had thought perhaps I was being unfair regarding the other gym as he had been younger when he was in it before so I brought it out and the exact same thing happened, he would lay there looking at the lights but not try to play with anything. He really seems to love the Treetop and having the mirror on the tree was a great idea as he rolls over just to admire himself in it. I love how the many of the Skip Hop toys give a "chime" sound and nothing seems to be overpowering to the baby. He had a stroller toy with a frog that was quite loud and he hated it, so we swapped out some of the toys from the Treetop gym and he's been much happier. I have since bought their 3 owl ball toy (which also fit on the gym, but there are plenty of toys that come with it so you don't need to get more - we would have been fine just with the gym and transferring the gym toys to his stroller and car seat) and the big owl with the various toys (small owl, teether, mirror, etc). I think you will be very happy with this gym as it is engaging, not too noisy, and the colors are really nice and not gaudy. From day one, our little boy has been very happy playing in it.Personally, I didn't find the pad any thinner than the the other play gyms that I've seen. It seems fine to me. I know that had been a worry of mine prior to purchase since it was commented on by others, but it wasn't a problem for me.

For me, this toy is a must have. Personally, I love the theme and it's soft colors compared to other activity mats, and I love that the toys can be moved around in different locations. I have taken the green loops off and connected other rattles that I own to them, I have created a long chain with several loops so that my baby could get the toys in her mouth, and I've even grouped a few toys together on one loop. I have put my baby positioned on the mat so that she can kick the toy's arch. She loves doing this because it shakes all of the hanging toys. I've positioned the jingly owl on the lowest loop on the other arch so that when she kicks the arch by her feet, it makes the owl next to her jingle. The versatility of this toy is great, batteries aren't required, and the sounds the toys make are pleasant, not jarring or annoying.My baby also loves doing tummy time and feeling the different textured fabrics, especially the crinkly leaves. The mirror is not that great, in my opinion, but I think that all mirrors that come with baby toys are strange because they are like fun-house mirrors. I actually use a spare mirror that I lean against the wall to make up for it which my baby seems to like bc she can smile at herself and see me in the reflection.I purchased this toy when my baby was around 3 1/2 months; she's now 5 1/2 and still loves it.

I admit that we bought this activity gym because we thought it was the nicest-looking one--the colors are softer than most baby gyms, which are gaudy and bright. We decided to see how baby reacted to it and then decide if we should replace it with a brighter one. Fortunately, he loves it! And it's easy to see why. The colors are more muted than other baby gyms, but they are still quite bright actually; it's just that they are more harmonious together than the usual fare of hot pink and neon green. The gym, like the matching soft book, is full of little surprises for the little one to discover and for you to surprise him/her with: a squeaky mushroom, a velvety leaf, a crinkly fruit, a hidden mirror. The little plush toys hanging from the gym are masterful in and of themselves, with beautiful, stimulating prints and textures. All in all, a really wonderful toy. Even if it's a bit expensive, it's a worthy investment. Kudos to the design team of this lovely activity gym!

Really love this activity gym!! I was hesitant to spend $75 on the thing, but am really glad we did! There is a lot going on with this, it has a leaf that crinkles, another that is super soft material, one of the flowers has a squeaker noise maker included and then there is a mirror that can be removed to wash the mat (which might I add, the fact that you can throw the mat in the washer machine is very convenient and practical). So it's not just a plain mat the baby lays on, there are several features included during tummy time. The pillow is a nice touch and then the toys are adorable and each has a different feature. One has a mirror, another has noise maker balls, another with a ring for the baby to grab a hold of etc. We also love the neutral colors, as we didn't find out the sex of the baby plus plan to use it with additional children and hoping to have one of each, and it's not super bright and tacky like a lot of the other activity gyms. Definitely worth the money, we have gotten a lot of use out of this!! :)

I purchased this activity gym mainly because of the style. I find a lot of baby products to be annoyingly bright and chaotic. This one had a nice color palette and a cute design. The mat is very soft and is a good quality fabric. The mat has leaves with differnt textures, a mirror, and flowers with squeakers in them.It comes with 5 toys that you can attach to the arches, but that you can also remove and take with you in a car seat or stroller. The toys are: 1) an owl with a chime inside 2)a bird with crinkly wings and a rattle 3)an apple with a mirror on one side 4)a bird with a wooden ring and crinkly wings, that tweets when you squeeze it, 5) a squirrel. When my daughter was newborn she loved to lay and look up at the hanging toys and adored the bird toy that tweets. Now that she is 4 months old and is already starting to crawl/scoot, she loves grabbing the toys and especially likes looking in the mirror on the mat during tummy time.

This is a well made product. I did not expect it to be as large as it was. I expected lower quality. I was highly surprised. It is beautiful. My grandson loves it.

Bonito Gym para el bebé, es precioso, muy bonito los colores, y con muchos detalles que lo hacen muy bonito y especial, para ponerle un pero, debería de ser de mayor tamaño la alfombra y más acolchada ya que es muy finita y tengo que ponerle debajo una toalla, por lo demás es precioso y muy buena opción de regalo
