Good value for money
I bought two cameras from ieGeek so far (indoor battery camera and a doorbell camera). Before I purchased them though I did read through a lot of reviews on other brands as well and took my time before making any decisions. I must admit it took me a while. I had an eye on ieGeek doorbell for a year but because I couldn’t make up my mind what I wanted I dropped the idea initially. Then a neighbour of ours showed me how their cameras work and a friend, I was going on holiday with, mentioned about getting an indoor camera for peace of mind whilst we are away and my interest sparked again. So I started reading through reviews again. One of them advised that if you are planning to install more than one camera it’s best to buy them from the same brand so you don’t have to instal different apps for each camera on your phone, but rather have all of them in one app. That was helpful because I knew I wanted an indoor camera and a doorbell. Hence, I had a look which brands offer both with possibility to add another outdoor camera if I needed it in future. I also wanted the cameras to save videos on SD card rather than paying a subscription for a cloud storage. So I looked up ieGeek doorbell again (I still had it in my wish list from a year ago) and noticed that ieGeek do other types of camera as well. Indoor battery camera is pretty small and handy (smaller and smarter looking than other brands I looked up) and that pretty much sealed my choice. I paid around £100 for both and I’m happy with my purchase. Price was good (I didn’t want to buy the cheapest camera on the market but also not an expensive one either). Both cameras do what it says on the tin. Both connected to network ok (I didn’t have any problems like some people reported for other brands). I’ve had both cameras for about a month now. Battery still holds on both since the initial charge. Picture quality is as expected.I’m planning to buy another outdoor solar operated camera as my car got scratched by presumably a delivery van whilst I was on holiday. Unfortunately, the doorbell wouldn’t have caught the incident as a bush obscures the view from the side where the van parked. Hence the need for another camera somewhere on the building where the bush isn’t in a way. This might be a common sense but if I was to give advice to someone buying a security camera for the first time I would say think about what you want the camera/cameras for (what you want them to show/record and maybe what you don’t want them to show/record) and where you want to place them. Depending on that look for the right specifications for you (like battery/cable/solar operated etc.), read through reviews and talk to someone who already has some cameras installed especially if your budget is tight but also to avoid disappointment if your expectations are higher than what the cameras can achieve in your circumstances.I had zero experience with security cameras before my purchase. I didn’t know what to expect. I’m glad I asked around and did some reading before making a decision which brand to buy from. I’m happy with what ieGeek offers. Their products are good quality and value for money.

Get Geeky
Unfortunately, one of my neighbours was burgled a couple of weeks ago. I hadn’t paid any attention whatsoever to new security features for my house, so I decided that now was the time to get a camera doorbell and another camera round the back to hopefully act as a deterrent. Another neighbour had bought a ‘Ring’ doorbell and recommended it to me but I knew that they were a lot more expensive than other models because they were the first on the market.I had a good look around and read the reviews and decided to risk it with this unknown to me brand - Igeek.Luckily, everything has been great with it.It was a lot cheaper than the Ring one with similar features. It was easy to set up on the phone, even though I’m not much of a techie. It must’ve taken me all of 10 minutes. Physically screwing onto the wall was dead easy too, probably took me 5 minutes. There’s a very clever little mechanism to detach the back support. Any time you want you can remove the front with the camera, for example to change the batteries you can do so really easily. However it isn’t something that I’ll probably have to do very much as even after one week, the battery charge doesn’t seem to have reduced at all.So setting up was dead easy and it worked straight away. There was a small hitch because it kept on sending me notifications and then I realised that it was detecting people walking past on the street. That was also very easy to rectify as there is a way to reduce its sensitivity, i.e. decrease the distance of its detection. I found that easily and reduced it and now it only detects people who are about 3 m from my door. Now it saves me going anywhere near the front door which is particularly useful because in this area on most days you get an unwanted caller and now I just tell him to go away without having to open the door to them. Hopefully it will all also act as a deterrent for any potential burglars.I have already recommended it to the Neighbour who was unfortunately burgled explaining to him that it is cheaper and probably better than my other neighbours ‘Ring’. I have also recommended it to my sister who is a complete tech phobe because I am sure that even she would be able to set it up ok.I have opted for the free service. You get about six seconds worth of free storage on the cloud. Most days I review any videos and delete them. I have not installed any memory cards yet, although I intend to sometime in the future..But for now, I’ve got everything I wanted. It shows me who’s at the door and records it for a short time.I would definitely recommend getting the doorbell camera and the separate camera. They have a lot of features that I haven’t mentioned, look very robust, very well priced, very good picture, reliable and easy to set up.

Good quality build, imaging, and operation, numerous specifications met, superb customer service
The doorbell camera performs similar to the specifications for resolution, battery life, motion detection sensitivity, water resistance, etc. I have looked through the Q&A section and the answers are accurate. The camera has a well built housing protecting it from water. A minor issue I had is that the hole for the screw that secures the camera to the housing is not exactly aligned with the threads in the housing so a bit of pressure was needed to get them to align for the screw to go in. Good quality is seen with the use of metal screw threads in the housing, also used for the battery cover. Make sure you use the latest firmware v3.2.1. The camera stated that it had the latest version yet it was an earlier version than this one. By contacting customer service they will help set up your camera to get the latest version. The daytime image is fantastic, easily reaching 30 meters, though resolution that far is not clear and bright sunny areas can be over exposed. This is a super wide angle lens so there is some aberration as expected. If night mode is turned off, then the cameras high sensitivity allows good imaging even in dawn or dusk. Night mode with the one LED brightens well. In the picture I show, there is another set of IR LEDs from 15 meters away that further improves the visibility. Notice the shadows cast from the chairs. With the one LED so bright, the night time image of a person within 1 meter is over saturated, the face is mostly white. However, if the subject is standing a bit away the exposure adjusts and the face is clearly seen. The motion detection selection of high sensitivity for everything or lower sensitivity for people movement primarily does work. There are few if any false triggers. The motion distance is about 5 meters. With the new firmware the camera turns on faster than before and adjusts exposure faster too. However there is still a slight ~1sec. lag time. If the weather is humid and dew point high, then moisture may occur on the lens so the image is blurry. This is not a fault of the camera since the camera is not on all the time keeping it slightly warm. If you want you can wire the camera to the existing doorbell transformer wiring. I found that the optimum height of the camera is about 1.5 meters which is a bit higher than the typical doorbell. A huge application benefit is that this camera is so portable. The Wi-Fi range can be 30 meters or more depending on router, so it could be used away from the house such as at the end of a driveway. If the camera is not connected to the Wi-Fi, then it still records to the 32GB SD card included with the camera. I find that the SD card holds plenty of images and video so I do not use the online service. This camera can thus be used as a trail camera. In the picture I show that I mounted the housing to a piece of wood, then secured it to the downspout with Velcro straps. I did this to try the camera in various places around the house. The chime unit is cheap feeling, but works fine. The audio both on the phone and at the doorbell are decent. You can adjust how you want to be notified of the doorbell activation by the chime and/or on your phone. The installation and operation of the CloudEdge software is easy. There are videos to guide you through the process and the manual is easy to understand. What I find especially positive for the camera is the superb customer service. The company responded to my requests for help in a timely fashion with very detailed answers. They are genuinely concerned to give great support so that you can fully use the camera's capabilities. When I think of a feature that would improve the camera or CloudEdge then I tell customer support and the company will consider that feature for future updates. So in summary, the camera is well built, performance very good, and superb customer service such that I recommend this doorbell camera and ieGeek.

WONDERFUL DOORBELL CAMERA!!
I love this doorbell camera. I ordered on a Friday afternoon and it was delivered just after 6 am on Saturday. I had the mount in place in about 5 minutes and charged the doorbell for 45 minutes before I paired it with the chime and my wifi. The hardest part of installing was the security screw, it is tiny and I had to work at an odd angle to get it in. That being said I charged the doorbell where it is mounted. I have a outdoor outlet and my front porch is enclosed. I found it very nice that you receive some extra screws and reset pins. The doorbell linked up with the app very quickly and the floating picture option is great. The volume and clarity of your voice outside is amazing. I had a complete conversation with my son and he 30 feet away from the front door and we could hear each other very clearly. THE PICTURE IS AMAZING!! THE NIGHT VISION PICTURE IS JUST AS CLEAR AS THE DAY PICTURE. The motion detection and alert are instant, as soon as anyone gets in the middle of walk way the alert goes to my phone. Everything you need to set up is inside of the box EXCEPT you will need 2 usb wall plug adapters if you choose to plug the chime into a wall outlet vs into a computer to hear the doorbell ring and 1 to charge the unit, unless you are going to charge it from your computer (no big deal, I have a cord drawer with 50 or 60 plugs and cords I can't throw away). I have been looking at 18650 flat top batteries and charger sets just to have a ready set all the time, but like I said that little security screw is a pain. Right now I am very excited about this doorbell, I have been looking for weeks but I don't want to have to subscribe to a monitoring plan on top of the doorbell cost. I don't use alexa or Google nest so I don't care if it's compatible, I now have to work from home and I like being able to answer my door from my desk and with covid most of my shopping is done online now and I like instant notice there is a package on my porch. I will update this review in March, let's see how well it holds up over the winter.*******UPDATE 5/2021********Still Loving my camera, the camera held up great during the winter no charging issues no clarity issues nothing. The sound in the picture are just as good today as it was the day I wrote the first review. The one thing I have noticed and it's probably the sensitivity setting I have it on but trucks will set off my doorbell camera so I'll get alert several times a day especially with UPS and FedEx trucks going by.

Only bad thing is the delay
We had an attempted break-in recently and I immediately started looking for cameras. This seemed to be the best option at a reasonable price. So we figured we'd give it a shot. Please know as I write this that I have only just received the product. These are my initial opinions upon setting it up and installing it.1) Very easy to install wirelessly! A concern looking for one of these doorbell cameras was that we don't currently have a doorbell. I was a smidge worried about how well the wireless would set up after having had a NIGHTMARE of a time setting up my wifi on my August Smart Lock. Thankfully this was VERY easy to install both physically and wirelessly. You just use two screws to attach the bracket for the doorbell to a wall. The doorbell slips in and then you secure it to the bracket using a specialty screw. They provide you with an allen wrench that is the right head for the screw as well. The wireless setup just took installing the app on my tablet and it paired up easily once I used it to scan the QR code in the app. No hiccups. No problems connecting or staying connected. Honestly the most seemlessly I've gotten a wireless device (that isn't something like a phone or tablet) to set up and I have a lot of wireless devices.2) Camera quality. It's not the best camera, let's get that out of the way. It's good enough though to serve its purpose. The several times I've had it capture my face as I've been fiddling with it, you could clearly see my face and there is no fuzziness. It's even a decent enough picture as someone walks up onto the porch.3) The motion capture: The start-up is a bit delayed. It takes about 2-4 seconds for the camera to start recording once the motion sensor is activated. I didn't see this being an issue, and for my purposes I guesssssssss it's not? My goal is just to get video of any suspicious people on my porch. I did a test and found that if I started several yards away from my front porch and made my way up the steps, to my door, and fiddled with the lock like I was unlocking it. The camera would start recording my movements about the time I "unlocked" my door and opened it.For my purposes this isn't a huge issue. I had to move the doorbell after installing it, which again is thankfully easy, because having it facing my steps would mean that I wouldn't have gotten a good picture of anyone. So I moved it to being right next to my door so that anyone standing in front of my door I would get a full picture of. It's kind of a bummer because the reason I had the bell where I did before was so that if the would be thief came up to my porch and immediately noticed the camera before reaching the door and left, that I would still get a picture of their face. As my husband pointed out though it's going to take someone a lot longer to attempt to get through our front door than it does me... a person with a key. This does mean though that if someone is just going to be on your porch for a second. Like to steal a package or something. You probably won't get a good look at them because by the time the motion sensor picks up they will either have turned around and be leaving or already gone. Some other info on the motion sensor though. If you have the motion sensor on then the device will record video with sound when it picks up motion (after the delay). With the 32GB SD card that is provided, you'll have a good 8-10 hours of video you can have. This is extended more by the fact that you can set the doorbell, via the app, to only record for certain intervals once the motion sensor is activated. It's 20 seconds, 40 seconds, or 1 minute.4) The doorbell: Figured since it's a doorbell I should say something about more than just the camera. The doorbell is a pretty good volume and is more than a single chime. So it will definitely get your attention. The second someone rings it, a notification pops up on your device to let you know someone is there and allows you to answer via the mic. If you don't want to bother though, there IS a setting in the app that allows you to just record a couple of messages. So you can have a message to say you aren't home, you will be there in a moment, etc.5) Charging: As said before the doorbell is secured in the bracket using a screw. For some reason, you also get provided adhesive strips? This is a confusing addition because if you do that.... yes it would be even harder for someone to try and just take the doorbell out of the bracket but uh.... it also means you are gonna struggle to remove it for charging. From what I understand this device stays charged for a good long while, and if the battery does run low you can see how much juice it has in the app. Then it's just a matter of removing the doorbell from the bracket and plugging it into a charging cable. I don't currently have an idea of just how long it takes to charge since it is partially charged on arrival, but I would assume it's a good idea to just charge it during the day when you are home once you see the battery getting low.6) Night vision: The night vision is decent! That's just about all I can say about it lol. It looked pretty good to me but this is a feature I don't intend to use too much as I just leave on my porch light.7) Other things: I was pleasantly surprised that I don't have to remove the SD card to look at videos. Through the app, you can playback any alerts that have happened. I honestly expected that I was going to have to remove the SD card in order to look at any videos. From what I can tell you do have to remove the sd card in order to delete any videos though. Also taking a moment to say that the look of it is very nice and sleek, I honestly love the look of it.Supposedly there is a weather proofing quality to this device. I have yet to be able to truely test this out. Though it is far enough under my porch that weather shouldn't be a problem for me. So unfortunately I can't comment on that quality.Last note. There is a single item you may have to buy for this set up. A USB adaptor for the doorbell ringer. I speak of the circular speaker that you put in your home to be able to hear the doorbell chime. It has a USB plug on it and you will need a place to plug it in. The kit comes with literally everything you need.... except a USB adaptor. So if you don't have one lying around that you can use for the chime, then that will be the one item you need to purchase to fully set up.Conclusion:Overall it's a really good device. The ease of installation and use kinda makes up for the delay, but not much. Ultimately that delay is something that keeps this item from going from pretty good to amazing. The delay prevents you from being able to get images of someone who may only spend a couple of seconds on your porch and could cost you the ability to get a clear picture of someone's face. So as far as being used as a security device.... it could be better. Again, if someone spends enough time on your porch then you will get a good clear video of them, the delay just means you gotta hope they spend more than a few seconds on your porch. If you are wanting to get this for a package thief, as said before, you may want to keep looking. If you just want it for being able to see people who ring the doorbell and not for security then this is honestly a fantastic buy. The doorbell is amazing. The ability to answer through a mic and to hear them through the mic. The video quality is pretty darn good for the price. The ability to record a message is convenient. Seriously if you just want this to be able to check who is at your door without answering, be able to talk to someone without opening the door, or if you want someone to have a quieter option than knocking to alert you to their presence. This is a great buy and I'd say get it.

Great intercom doorbell camera, wireless, reasonable price, and app control
The media could not be loaded. At first, I was quite doubting about its performance as this is a no-brand video doorbell, and its price is only around 1/3 of the famous ones. But I decided to give it a try just to see how it is before invest in a more expensive one. And this one was just amazing. The box looks decent and nice. Everything you need to install the bell including the screwdriver and torque key is well-packed in the box. Instruction is easy to read, all details are warmly covered. Followed the instruction to download their app called “Cloudedge” to connect this doorbell with my phone. The connection was quite fast and stable with wifi(2.4GHz only), which was better than many Bluetooth items I had. After installation, I tested it out. This app includes everything that I need and looks very powerful. It sends me a notification every time when someone presses the door bell. And it will record the video at the same time. You can go back into the time frame and check the videos out when there is a need. Besides, It will always show you a real-time video of the surroundings outside your door when you open the app, just like watching live streaming. The lens is wide-angled so you can see more and will definitely capture a full image of suspicious people who were trying to make a crime at your doors. More importantly, its night vision function was quite impressive, which showed me a crystal clear video. This is an absolutely excellent video bell if you are looking for one with a limited budget. Can't go wrong with the price and quality. I will buy another one for my parents.

Great Video Doorbell.
I recently took a job as a traveling medical professional and this is the first security device I purchased. I used it for a week so far no issues. Easy to install and comes with a 32GB memory card for storage. Video quality is clear as well as the night vision. I can watch live video with sound. Has an intercom option and doorbell. I can even record a special message if someone presses the doorbell. I can see pictures of sensors alerts and record video. I don’t have to pay extra for the services other than a cloud service they offer. It does come with a 7 day free trial which I might take advantage of.The motion sensor could be better. My house is close to the road, which is one way. My road is street parking so I was worried on it going off all the time, so I have it on a low setting. I did notice it goes off if a large vehicle drives by. I’m not sure if it’s because of the speed, size or how I have the device positioned. It’s not continuous and happens once in a while so it’s not big deal. Other than that I’m happy overall. It gives me a peace of mind while I’m away.
