BenefitPorefessional Matte Rescue Primer, 50 ml

I have oily skin and without a primer my makeup doesn’t last more than 2 hours. This is a gel based primer that actively helps avoid the foundation from settling in to my large pores. It doesn’t feel oily or heavy, or too silky like other primers. It spreads easily and then absorbs fast so you can apply foundation right away. It makes it slightly tacky so the makeup sticks but it’s not sticky. If that makes sense. And with a good setting spray my makeup lasts at least 10 hours usually.

This is my second time purchasing this product and I absolutely loved it. It really does what it says and keeps my make-up intact and pretty matte throughout the day. I might have to blot my face maybe once or twice but nothing compared to how it was before I started using it.

No me gusta, lo compré por error porque quería el Primer y no me fijé bien. Aún así lo he usado como indican las instrucciones. La aplicación es sencilla, es como una especie de textura gel y se absorbe rápido, pero supuestamente quita brillos y minimiza poros y yo no he notado nada, encima para lo caro que es. Este producto no sirve.

This is proving to be my life saver (or rather, my makeup saver) for summer.This was recommended to me by a friend and at first I didn’t believe that this would do anything simply because I’m not a big fan of Benefit’s original Porefessional but this has been love at first wear.This product is very different in texture to the original Porefessional. It’s a gel texture and when applied to the face it looks clear, even though it has a greenish blue hue on my hand.I apply this under my makeup and over my sunscreen and I either use my bare hands or a makeup brush. The pore blurring effect of this product is not as evident as the regular Porefessional but it does make my face a bit smoother in texture. The real power of this product is in its ability to keep my face from getting oily.I find that this product doubles the time in which my face goes oily with any given foundation. That is, if I wear this with a BB Cream in summer that would usually have me looking oily in about 3 hours, using this product as a base will extend my time looking matte, and I might start to look oily in 6 hours. If I wear this with a longwearing matte foundation (like the Revlon ColorStay) I virtually don’t get oily all day.An occasion that really tested this product is a time when I didn’t have time to remove my makeup when I went to the gym and after a tough session (that usually has me sweating from my face), my makeup was fully intact and completely matte.So yes, essentially I’m in love with this product and I would say that it is a must have.
