Great router but not so great tech support or HD Formats.
Bought this router to use on and off our Narrowboat.I wanted a router that was portable/battery with 2 Ariel ports good support and most important a usb in for an external hard rive so we could watch and listen to media over a local network.Initially the download speeds were not as good as our old cheap router.I was having trouble finding a decent format for the hard drive as Netgear support next to nothing when it comes to decent formats like Fat 32.Also the 2 Ariel ports are just push in with no option to connect them securely ie the Ariel can easily pop out.Called Netgear to try and see if We could optimise the settings to get better speed and stop some devices hogging the broadband plus find a decent supported format for the HD. I submitted a ticket and kept getting emails saying have I resolved the issue only to have my replies ignored. I managed eventually to call and but the Guy I spoke to from Netgear was next to useless, did not seem to care or understand what I was asking for. In the end I just left it with the problems unresolved. As I had paid £300 for the router I had expected much better customer care. The router is a pretty good one but it is let down by Netgear's poor support.

Awful Battery - no customer support
The item itself is fine, great even. Neat, effective, clean lines, OK UI.But the battery has ceased to charge after maybe 50 hours of use. It will run on mains, but that's not very mobile is it! This item is 15 months old and Netgear are refusing warranty or tech support. But I can buy a tech support contract for the cost of a new router! Or I can buy a new item! Wow. Thanks Netgear!Absolute scumags. This is a know issue too and they just refuse to help.Avoid this company.I'm pretty miffed, this wasn't a cheap item and I use it for work, and my work often involves being outside. The fact that this was battery operated was the main reason I got it. Such poor customer service.

Sent a Used Device!
Received the item quickley, how ever it was evedent when i opened it thst this device has been used. the box has had its seals pealed off before, the unit itsedl was okay apart from dust and corrotion in all of the ports (immage attached but hard to see on camera) bag the battery came in was torn and had been opened, instructions just in the box not the cardboard section for the documents. unit seemed to work okay however this seems to be an austrailian unit as it keeps defulting to Telstra air which means if you put a non Telstra sim in you just get "non telstra sim deceted" on the sreen the who time. if you confiure the APN you get data but no stats in the screen. Very disapointed for a £250 device i want a new unopened UK version so returned and I will go my old Aircard
