Candida Free Cookbook and Action Plan: 28 Days to Fight Yeast and Candida

Wonderful book and a must for everyone!
I'vebeen dealing with yeast overgrowth for 3 months. After 2 rounds of diflucan, the yeast would rise up(no pun intended)again in my system & the symptoms of burning and tingling would come back. I knew I had an overgrowth of yeast and it was systemic. My doctor didn't really think so because I didn't have all of your typical signs(vaginal yeast, white coated tounge etc). I knew something was up and needed to get this under control. After being on antibiotics for mastitis in nov for over 1 week, I knew my gut health had suffered. Y'all, I could cry reading about how UNDIAGNOSED Candida is here in the US. I've read so much about this subject forthe last 4months as I've BATTLED these flare ups. I saw a internal medicine dr, he didnt think it was systemic yeast after I spoke with him...he did blood work to make sure i wasn't a diabetic..i knew i wasnt..I'm in GREAT health so this is hard for some medical professionals to even grasp that something as simple as "candida" can be the culprit. I was at my wits end..I was eating eggs, meat but no dairy, no fruit, taking coconut oil capsules, fresh ginger in my tea and fresh garlic..and gosh forbid us Americans give us BREAD!! YEP. I noticed less flare ups..I knew I was on to something. I found a natropath in my town and told her what was going on and how I couldn't find a medical doctor to help because they didn't think this was yeast. She knew exactly what to do and how to help!! I cried when she said the words CANDIDA because so many people dont even know what that is.I met with her and we reviewed my current bloodwork and got a game plan. I will tell you, antibiotics, high stress and lack of sleep (staying up too late) is what did me in. She told me and I can't stress this enough....SLEEP will make a huge difference in your healing journey!!! She told me I needed at least 7hrs a night. Now I aimed for that, but when you have young childrenand are a stay at home mom...etc, life hits hard and the dishes, laundry, cooking, bill paying, cleaning and groceries don't do themselves.I cut all added sugar, started sleeping more and drinking way more water...then I went digging on Amazon one evening and found a few candida books and ordered..they were let downs. Then I ordered this one. I love the layout, the information, the simplicity and most of all!!...THE MEAL PLANS.As a stay at home mom, this has made life so much easier and I am grateful. I encourage you to start and follow this plan. I start week one, tomorrow. Ive already cut alot of the things out, and even for a healthy person, I missed some of my foods even in moderation, like chocolate!!! But its worth it. People die way to early and prematurely in our country, especially, and our diets is where most of our issues stem from@Think of that...what you eat or don't eat can play a major role on the longevity and quality of your life.I enjoyed sweets etc prior to this plan, but healthy alternatives..substitutions are not always bad..in todays time, there are so many great tasting options. Do your research..recreate recipes, sub out that white flour for almond/coconut flour and see how well you like your morning pancakes..you'd be surprised what you like, if you'd just be willing to try.I was in optimal shape 2 years ago, weight lifting and in better shape at 31 than 25! My goal is getting back to that. Be encouraged, only you can contribute to your health and wellness. 2021 can be the year you experience your best body and health yet. I encourage anyone to seek this plan out, regardless if you have candida or not! Get a hold of it while you can and live WELL!!

Such good information and recipes
I needed to go on a no yeast no sugar diet. I had a book years ago but I couldn't find it. So I found this book and I really like it. Very easy to follow. I'm still in Phase 1 but there is such really good recipes in it. The last book I had was really rigid. This book gives you more options to follow. Highly recommend!

Superb Educational resource about the candida issue - and it includes A+ menus
After spending MONTHS googling my fingers off for a good resource containing info about the "candida diet", I'm happy to say my search ended with this book right here. Candida Free is not just full of incredibly yummy meal recipes that are easy to prepare even for a beginner cook like me BUT its also loaded with really good information detailing what the candida issue is,how to diagnose it and how to conquer it. The word cookbook is intimidating right off the bat, unless you're Rachel Ray or an expert cook but the meals in this book are so easy to prepare - and best of all they're really delicious! The book is very well written, the author is well informed about the subject - and she's relatable too because she understands the candida struggle and as I mentioned before, the recipes are so easy to make (be sure to check out the dessert section!)

Good recipes
I actually really like this cookbook. It has some good recipes that I’ve made multiple times during my journey. I took off 2 stars for 2 reasons.1. This book includes a weekly meal plan which seems great! However, if you follow these plans your average caloric intake is generally 600-900 calories a day which is just not enough for anyone. We need to starve the yeast not ourselves. As someone who is already petite I was so worried I would lose too much weight while on this diet, and I would if I followed the plans. That leads me into number 2.2. I was just generally dissapointed in the snack section of this book. There are a decent amount of things online but if you want my breakfast, lunch and dinner to be 150-400 calories each I need something in between!! I’ve found amazing quinoa crackers and other recipes online and I just wish this book had more options.Shoutout to the curried cauliflower soup and the artichoke pesto though, they’re amazing!

I did enjoy this cookbook
I did enjoy this cookbook. There was a lot of information about Candida. Before I got this book free to review, I had absolutely no idea what Candida is. There is plenty of information included about Candida in the first few chapters of this cookbook. It includes such information as what is is, how it effects you internally and externally, symptoms, remedies and causes. There is plenty of detailed information. The 28 day action plan was insightful. There is a great deal of recipes and I am sure you can find many that you and your family will love. I was not too interested in becoming Candida free but I did try a few of the recipes and they were great. I think I may regift this book to someone who really could benefit from it!

Such a helpful cookbook!!
This book is so informative & is not your average cookbook! In the introduction the author briefly tells us her story which if your reading this book it's because you can relate. The action plan is so clear and concise and provides you with recipes for every meal including desserts. I suffer from many digestive issues so I'm following the action plan, I'm on day 3 and feel better than ever!! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Some good recipes but so tasty
I think the title is quite misleading. You can’t treat candida within 28 days. For most people it takes longer. I tried many recipes but I like only a few of them.

Excellent book.
Excellent book. I was really unsure as to what I could eat & lacked inspiration for recipes. At first look I thought maybe these wouldn't be appetising but really simple, easy to follow & better still tasty meals!!Can work out a little expensive to get all the ingredients in at first but once you have some of them.....flours, nuts, seeds etc that last for a good few recipes then it's ok.Having really good results in just over a week!

Cookbook - not full protocol
What I like about this cookbook is the uniqueness of the recipes. I genuinely want to try most of the breakfast ideas; Key Lime Smoothie?! Sounds amazing… it’s great to have some exciting, delicious sounding recipes to try when up till now I’ve felt doing an anti-Candida diet will be pure hell. Suddenly there’s a chink of excitement.Only downsides are a) everything in American cup measures, b) author doesn’t clarify whether ‘coconut milk’ means the thick stuff out the can or dairy milk replacement - massive difference!!Also… I noticed all the recipes are very low call as low carb. If you want to diet at the same time, fine - but otherwise I’m probably going to need two portions of most things or some Leto bread or something to plug the gap!

Good reference, great recipes.
She has a bit of an obsession with coconut in all its forms, and I found contrary evidence about using apple cider vinegar from the start to treat an overgrowth. However her recipes are easy enough with everyday ingredients. I would recommend this book to a friend.
