Could be better
Online pictures don't do justice to just how tiny the numbers and lines on the scale actually are. They're really tiny. I'll have to use a magnifying glass to read the increments. The dial was very difficult to move for zeroing. It's as if it's in frozen grease. I had to really force it to get it to move and work it for a while until it loosened up a little. There is no V groove on the magnetic side to align this to pipe so that's disappointing. The larger of the three knurled screws I suppose is to lock the dial in place but the dial is plastic so I wouldn't tighten that screw too much. May not need it at all since the dial is very hard to move anyway. The threads are really loose so these will work their way out if you don't tighten them a little. Or just throw them away as they're going to get lost anyway.

Numbers too small to easily read under less-than-perfect lighting.
It would be difficult to overstate how hard this little tool is to use with precision. One can see the yellow needle as it points to whatever angle the device is placed on. But there, good usability ends. The movable vernier scale is useless because it turns only with extreme, focused, force and finger dexterity. The numbers are best read with a magnifying glass, strong lighting, and 20-20 vision. The venier scale is useless for me because I cannot read the numbers and markings under ordinary lighting. If you need only see the needle to get a general idea of levelness, or its lack, then this may be an acceptable tool for you. The needle assembly rotates on a very small ball bearing with twelve small individual steel balls. That means that the needle has no problem with sticking in one place. There is a 45-degree molded-in mark on the back of the tool that helps fast checking of 45 degree angles. Also on the back is a set of larger numbers to show angles. It is less difficult to read than the smaller numbers on the front of the tool. Tool quality, as distinct from usability, appears excellent. A tool of the same type but twice or more the size might sell very well.
