Tremont Nail CCR6 - Standard Steel Common Rosehead Square Nails 1lb Box of 2" (6d)

Like my first line stated, these grip the wood very tightly. I bought them mostly for the appearance, but partly for that reason. I'd read about that feature, and I really felt it driving a couple of them in for a quick repair. You get what you pay for, and these are definitely worth the premium price.

The heads of the nails were made just like the picture which was what I was after.

Perfect, they are cleaner and shiny like silver. Picture doesn't exactly show that.

Great when restoring antiques or making a piece that looks vintage. They're a bit on an expensive side, but they are a good product: all nails were straight, all nails were identical, no busted heads, no rust. For certain uses you might want to grind them to a point, and also anneal, especially when you need to bend them. You can make them look old with chemicals, I made mine pitch black by spraying nails with rust convertor.
