Yoper BA9S 53 57 1895 64111 LED Light Bulb for Car 12V Ice Blue

Very Bright and easy to install.

I installed these LEDs as direct replacements for the GE57 incandescent bulbs used for the instrument gauge lights in my 1958 Chevy truck and they are perfect. Some older reviews say they wouldn't work because the polarity may not be correct (and rotating the bulb cant fix that). The Yoper BA9S LEDs I purchased said in the description that they are non-polarized, meaning that they are not polarity dependent and indeed they worked fine with no issues.I wanted to keep the original gauge light color and intensity and was concerned that they didn't offer bulbs in a warmer color range to match an incandescent bulb (3500-4000) but the 70 lumen white light color (6000 range) of these LEDs turned out perfect. The light intensity is definitely better so I can actually see the gauges at night, yet they still maintain their nostalgic green tint due to the paint used in the gauge assembly. IMO, they are not too bright but be advised that their brightness cannot be turned down. I suspect that is because the old Chevy light switch is not capable of adjusting the resistance in the range needed for the LEDs to respond. I found other similar bulbs that were 100 lumens but am glad I went with the 70 lumen ones.Vintage vehicles will benefit from the reduced amp draw of LEDs which is a plus for the 65 year old electrical wiring.

I received my bulbs and immediately installed them.They are exactly what was advertised and they are very bright.I highly recommend this product.

These will not work as a #57 bulb replacement on a car with old style basic 12V Positive & Negative (No Modern Negative Computer Controlled electrical System), even thou they are listed as a #57 replacement !!I bought these bulbs for my 55 Chevrolet Bel Air Street Rod to replace the #57 bulbs where required.I replaced my interior dome light bulb with a LED replacement for the required #1004 factory bulb, that's the proper # for 1955 & 56 Chevrolet dome lights. That bulb worked great, but I bought from another supplier here on Amazon, so I went forward to replace the other bulbs starting next with these #57 replacement bulbs. The 1st ones, #1004 LED replacement bulbs that have the same style base had no instructions to rotated the bulb to change the polarity, so this made no sense to me, since these #57 LED replacements have the same style base, but I still did this instructed part that stated to do this with some of the bulbs. I know, it's like I had a kidney for a brain in the moment, but I also was checking to see if any of the 10 bulbs were working. I'm a retired Electrician of 45 years, so if they can get me to rotate some of the bulbs to see if they will now work, they can get someone with no experience to think this will change something, but it will not. On a single positive contact point at the bottom of the base, & the brass or plated part of the base with the 2 knobs on the side to lock the bulb into place is the negative for the bulb to work, " YOU CAN NOT CHANGE THE POLARITY BUY ROTATING 180 DEGREES". Just think about it, you rotate the bulb 180 degrees. The outer base with the 2 knobs, that the sealed glass & bulb filament are attached too, is still the 12V negative, even if you rotate the bulb 180 degrees, it changes nothing because it's cylinder shaped & the single contact point at the bottom of the base for the 12V positive, even if you rotate the bulb, it also changes nothing, because the contact point is in the center of the base on the bottom. The only style bulb used on an older style 12V positive "NON COMPUTER CONTROLLED" electrical system that you could change the flow, is the type bulb that has the contact points on each end of the bulb (used a lot for dome light bulbs), then by rotating that style bulb would change the flow direction of DC electricity or polarity. Keep in mind if you buy a LED replacement bulb for an early 12V DC positive switching system, & they used that style system until the 1990's & into the early 2000's on some cars, make sure the LED bulbs you're looking to buy does not require rotation to get the bulb to work, except for the 1 bulb style mentioned above. They are available, even here on Amazon, just look for that before buying. It will save the headache of returning it for You & Amazon, plus you have the time lost trying to get them to work.If your vehicle is a negative electrical controlled computer system, that all are anymore, then these bulbs should work fine for you !!

It is difficult to get excited about small bulbs, but these work as intended and will have you back up and running in no time from a burned out bulb.
