Worked for two days then impossible to pump
Unfortunately, I have to add to the reviews that noted how impossible this filter became to pump after the first 10 liters or so. Perhaps it got clogged with sand or something, but nothing that is readily able to be taken apart appeared to have any build-up. The intake filter looked dirty but it is pretty much impossible to remove it. Really disappointed as I was super excited to upgrade to using a pump system like this instead of a straw. Looks like I'll be going back to the straw...

Best purchase-Easy to use and great water
Purchased this filter for a backpacking trip and it was fantastic. We used it for filtering water out of the river and it was amazing quality. The filter is easy to use and even the 12-15 year old scouts were able to easily use it to fill up their water containers. Great option!!

Cheap option?
Honestly, I was really hoping to give this filter a 5 star review, but I just cant. From the moment you pick up the filter, everything about it says "cheap." Everything feels like it is low quality (although light weight). The filter body, pump, microtube housing, and everything else is made of what feels like really cheep plastic. The micro fiber housing (the part that does the filtering) is held together by a pressure fitting sealed with O-rings instead of threads and I'm not sure I would want to trust it to hold up were I going on one of my backpacking trips; this is why I took away 2 stars, too cheap, and poor design. This being said, the filter does work. It has a good flow rate, and seems to function properly. The tubes are long enough that reaching into a spring or a lake wont be a problem. The clip to keep the tube in a cup or bottle does work, but is definitely not my preferred method.Bottom line is the filter works, but, if I were to buy the filter again, I think I would rather spend the tiny bit extra and get a nice MSR filter that I know I can trust.
