Great all day carry for small frames
This is perfect for caring a 13” MacBook or iPad Pro, some diabetes supplies (pods, cgm supplies) snacks, a notebook and some pens. The organization is great, has room for more if I need it, the material and zippers have held for two semesters so far.

Lots of pockets; smallish size
I really like this backpack, but it is really best for someone without a load of books to carry. It won't work for a student with a giant binder or tons of textbooks. If you mostly have a laptop and maybe a couple of small books, sure. The bright green lining is very cool, and I'm really into all the pockets to keep stuff organized. There are three in the front, two on the sides, a sleeve inside, and a tiny hidden pocket at the back. It's awesome that I can get stuff out of my bag without opening up the whole thing. It's lightly padded at the bottom to help protect my books, and the laptop sleeve in the back is big enough. I think it's better sized for a woman, but a guy wanting a smaller bag would be fine with it, too. The styling is definitely unisex. It could technically work for a kid, but they actually seem to need even larger backpacks with all the stuff schools send back and forth. No way this would be big enough for my middle-schooler. My college kid, however, thinks it's pretty great, and I agree that it will work well for my backpack needs as well.

One of the best backpacks you could buy
I love Timbuk2 backpack. I bought the first one, and use it daily for work a couple of years ago, and since then had no desired for any other brand. I have several OGIO packs, but none come near the design, compactness and weight of Timbuk2. This backpack does not disappointed me either. The one thing that is different from other is it is soft, that you could fold it in half and put in your luggage for long trip. The green color internal is also a great feature; I find it easier to look for stuffs versus the regular back color. There are 3 zippered pockets on the front that you could keep charger, phone and paper things like boarding pass or passport. There are separate compartments for laptop and tablet. I guess a 13” tablet would fit fine. One pleasant surprise: it is just the right size; I was worried as it looked a little big in the picture.
