MakerBeam XL black anodized beams 1000x15x15mm (103217) 4 pieces

I moonlight in synthDIY and I have made several modular synth skiff and rack sets using these as rails. I highly recommend them! Very affordable and ez to cut to any size using a hacksaw or metal cutoff tool. M3 slide nuts fit perfectly in the tracks. Holes on the ends come threaded for M3 and I have found it super ez to add M3 threads with a tap to new ends after cutting.Eurorack people: note the difference in width between these and standard “Z” rails results in ~4 1/4” vertical space for electronics to fit behind your panel and 5 3/8” between outer beam ends. These are fantastic black extrusion. I had to return mine as I ordered the wrong size. Which was my fault. But I was very impressed with the quality. If I could have found a use for them, would have kept them.

all 4 pieces were in perfect condition, no bends, gouges, etc. bought these and cut them down to various sizes for a CoreXY printer, still have enough left over to go toward a second desktop laser engraver.

Solid piece of material. The center thread meshed cleanly with a M3 screw. The grooves along the rails allowed M3 nuts to slide freely and not rotate while being threaded.The dimensions of the rails ranged from 14.90 mm to 14.95 mm on average. I have one rail that gave me a range of 14.85 mm to 15.05 mm.

Very high quality as one would expect of MakerBeam XL beams. I was surprised at the strength and rigidity of the 1m beam. Definitely will be buying more at some point!
