Mount works exactly as advertised. It comes with two metal plates (one slightly thinner than the other) for the back of your phone or case which is great. I have had a bunch of similar magnetic mounts in the past so I knew to put the plate on the outside back of my case - which you may not want to do aesthetically, but on my case it looks and feels fine - and it gives it a really solid connection that you dont worry about at all in the car. Another thing to note is that fast wireless charging is still wireless charging, so while it does fast wireless charge your phone - if you are going to keep the screen on for GPS or something for extended periods of time - its not going to be able to keep up. If I ever need a really fast charge, I just leave it magnetically mounted and connect the wired charger. Only negative was that the adhesive on the mount wasnt quite reliable enough for me so I just peeled it off and used some stronger double sided adhesive tape. End of the day it was exactly what I was looking for and customer support is phenominal. Would buy iOttie again.

Save your money
I have no issues with the seller, but I'm disappointed with the product. I even bought a second one just to make sure I didn't have a defective one, but I ended up returning it cause it also didn't work. The reason I didn't do this review earlier is because I was trying to find solutions for these problems.2 issues I am having with this product. First, it will not always charge. Sometimes the green charging light will stay on like it's charging (even though it's not), other times it will charge for a few seconds and then stop like it does not recognize the device. I have tried several phone cases and still the same issue. Second issue is that the magnets don't always hold. Sometimes they hold very well and strong. Other times they don't want to hold at all.==>So, even though the green light is on it doesn't charge. The battery percentage will not move and in some cases it would go down.==>It has a fan but that doesn't work at all. Every time I take it off the charger my phone feels super hot. That doesn't happen with my other 4 Qi chargers at home and at work.==>The magnets aren't strong enough. Countless times I'll be driving and out of no where the phone just falls. So annoying.==>It definitely is not quick charge (or any charge for that matter lol)I feel that it's a good idea, but it needs work. If anyone knows of a better product that does the same thing but actually works, please let me know. Or iOttie, come out with a better version that 1. has strong magnets, 2. actually charges the phone (quick charge) and 3. does not make the phone hot.

UPDATED 7/13/17: Still not great. iOttie customer service is top notch though.
UPDATE 7/13/17:TL;DR: iOttie should just make a fast wireless charging version of the iOttie Easy One Touch 3 (please actually do this, the function would be so much improved!)Pros:-iOttie customer service: great response time and willingness to help.-Fan on mount does help with heat on dash.Cons:-Need to affix magnet to outside of case to get it to work on cases that provide moderate protection. Not a big deal, but over time will likely snag enough to come loose.-Magnets are one time use only, and they only provide you with two (one black and one white).-Mounting system to dash is not great. It is only a sticky pad at the bottom of two different sized posts that the charger screws into. These appear to also be one time use, so don't mess it up! It is also not tall enough to have the phone connected to it in the portrait orientation if you own the Samsung 8+. This is actually a bigger deal than it seems, as you have to position the mount on the lip of the dash or desk to allow the phone to fit on the charger if you want the phone to face you straight on. You can tilt the mount back to about a 20* angle, but this is not ideal in a variety of vehicles (increased sun glare, polarized glasses issues, etc).-Magnets overheat when using with other wireless chargers.iOttie customer service reached out to me to see how they could help. A+ for customer service. They sent me an additional unit to test. I do still feel that the problems are with the design; I actually ran into more issues. If you are trying to move all of your chargers to fast wireless, the magnet on the back that you have to mount will overheat. I use the Plesson wireless charger on my night stand and my desk, and it works great. Adding the magnet to the back of my case (which does greatly improve the strength of the magnetic hold) unfortunately causes the magnet to overheat. I woke up in the middle of the night to the smell of hot plastic. Not great. I fully understand that this is not such an issue with the iOttie mount because it has a fan that run while it is charging your phone, but this means that that is the only wireless charger you can use to avoid the overheating issue. I have set up a test today with the phone on the mount inside where the ambient temp is much cooler than a car dash. I will update on how well the fan keeps the magnets from getting hot.I would give iOttie 5 stars for customer service, but this mount is still rated at 1 star for me. Original review below.ORIGINAL REVIEWDo not purchase if you use a case to protect your $800 phone. Magnets work great with direct contact, but phone will dislodge on every bump if there is a case in between. Additionally, the simple sticky bottom of the mount for adherence to the dash is a big step back from the much more robust suction cups of the other iOttie models. There are two bases provided that offer a slight height difference, but these are flimsy and in no way compare to the iOttie Easy One Touch base. There is little to no range of motion with the mount provided.A guide should also be provided for exactly where to locate the magnets on the back of the phone. Placed incorrectly they will interfere with the wireless charge of other devices (Plesson stand, for example) and if you do not put it on correctly the first time, it is impossible to remove it without bending the metal.Fan is great, and is extra helpful considering that most cars don't AC the top of the dash. Other than that, this was a frustrating experience. Preordered this a month ago, and was very excited to have this solution provided by an otherwise great phone mount company. Surprised that basically each physical piece of this design has fairly obvious failure/pain points. I would suggest a beta test next time.

Pull the trigger on this one, you won't regret it!
I was skeptical about whether this would work or not. I have a Samsung S8 Plus, and I use it for my entertainment center in my 2005 Ford Ranger. I don't like things hanging from my windshield, so I mounted it to the dash. I only found one place where it would fit for my purposes, and I was lucky that it was the perfect spot! The sticky tape on the mount is worthless on a dashboard, so I screwed mine down. I never tried it on glass, so I can't help you there. This cradle is fantastic, it fast charges as described without fail, it looks great, and has never even come close to dropping my phone. My Ranger does not have the smoothest suspension and I commute to and from downtown Los Angeles every day, so it is all stop and go traffic. I also hit a lot of speed bumps that I have purposely taken hard in an attempt to jostle the phone. It held firm every time! There are two metal plates that come with the stand. The idea is that you stick one on the back of your phone and that is what the magnet on the stand binds to (it will not hold your phone without it). There is a black one and a silver one, my guess is that you are supposed to use whichever one matches your phone color. I actually used one for the back of the phone and one for the back of my phone case. That way I don't have to take it out of the case in order to use it. It works GREAT! It even charges through the case, though I think that depends on the case.

Nearly Perfect
I can't begin to tell you how nice it is to be able to simply throw your phone up on a mount and not only have it be firmly attached, but also charging. It's even nicer to be able to just pull it off without pushing any buttons in.I was hoping that the magnetic plates in my Mophie case (I own an iPhone 7) would be strong enough to stick to the charger, but that wasn't the case. The metal plate provided by iOttie is almost square-like, very thin in width and with a lot of surface on the corners to attract the magnets. One gripe that I have is that it is ever slightly bigger than the flat surface of my case. This means that a couple of sides and a bit of each corner will collect some dust on the underside of the phone for the foreseeable future. If I could suggest some solutions to iOttie, it might be the option of an X-shaped, or simply smaller plate. Even a more bendable plate would be an idea. I would also like to see iOttie sell some of these individual components by themselves instead of having to purchase another mount or use a warranty claim.Overall, I'm a big fan of the way iOttie has made mounting my phone and giving it a charge a hassle-free and quick process. Although I wish some tweaks would be made to the plates, I highly recommend this product.
