Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Bla

This film is a great story. but it’s a sleeper because many people missed it. Few people really knew about the struggles of truly smart, talented black women at the time because the events occurred pre-Civil Rights. The action profiles three black women way ahead of their time who helped calculate and program the first space flights in the early 1960s. We all saw astronauts Alan Shepard, Gus Grissom, John Glenn, Gordon Cooper, and others out front as declared heroes, but there was little mention of the people behind the scenes who actually calculated the route, the splashdown, the design of the spacecraft or the sustainability of the equipment. Katherine Goble Johnson, Mary Jackson and Dorothy Vaughn were at the center of the early success of NASA. The film is poignant and emotional at times, but it’s inspiring and something to watch that will improve your mental health. I highly recommend this wonderful film.

Storia vera. Meraviglioso.

Hace unos meses adquirí este audiolibro en inglés de Hidden Figures y me ha encantado. Vi la película antes de escuchar el audiolibro y es muchísimo mejor el audiolibro. Mucho más profundidad en la historia y una mayor cantidad de detalles. El motivo de la compra fue refrescar mi oído en inglés, que hacía tiempo que no le dedicaba tiempo a mantener el idioma.Este audiolibro viene en una funda de CD como la de cualquier película. Tiene un bonito diseño exterior y el CD de audio también es de muy buena calidad. Quizás he echado en falta algún tipo de panfleto o mini guía en su interior con información o curiosidades de la historia o del audiolibro.El audiolibro es muy largo, por lo que pasarás un montón de horas entretenido. Concretamente, la narración dura casi 11 horas. Hay que tener presente que la narración es del libro íntegro, por lo que no encontraremos resúmenes de la historia o fragmentos faltantes.Algo que es muy importante en un audiolibro (sobre todo, si es en un idioma extranjero) es la voz del narrador o narradora. En este caso, la narradora es Robin Miles. Ya había escuchado su voz en algún otro audiolibro hace algún tiempo y sabía que me iba encontrar, pero te puedo asegurar que no te defraudará. Es una voz muy nítida y que se entiene muy bien. Además, sigue un ritmo muy adecuado. Quizás, el único pero que le pondría a su voz es que es bastante aguda y hasta que te haces a ella, puede sonar un poco extraña los primeros minutos.La relación calidad-precio de este audiolibro, atendiendo a su coste y características del producto, me parece muy buena.Resumiendo... Un excelente audiolibro, tanto en calidad de la voz como de la historia. Sin duda, lo recomiendo totalmente.
