Doesn’t smell like fruit. I don’t drink so I don’t know about the bourbon smell. But it is one of my favorite candles

Q: Does this brand of candle contain paraffin wax?

Yes and it actually blew while on a candle warmer. Wax is still on our ceiling. Good luck!

I have not had that problem. Purchased many for myself and for gifts. Can't imagine what happened. Like you said, maybe a bad batch
