Excellent, but Not Quite 5 Stars for Me
It's really very good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is for two nitpicks. First, when you push it, it clacks pretty loudly and it's hard to avoid this since each press is a slightly different pressure needed. The second nitpick is that it is not adjustable and the grinding for the peppercorns isn't consistent (though not a big deal).Everything else about it is what the others say, it's nicely designed, it works well, it holds enough to last a good amount of time, it's on the elegant side and the grind is good enough.I'll say that it has helped me keep salt on the table. I have a bad habit of sprinkling salt in a very wide pattern to obtain consistent coverage. This just grinds it straight down, but spreads it out enough so you get reasonably consistent coverage. Now, when I pick up my plate after dinner, there's not this halo of salt all around it.

Great Product - wish it had fine/course adjustment
This item definitely has the 'cool' factor going for it, along with being a high-quality, well-built product. There doesn't appear to be a way to adjust the fineness/coarseness of the grind, so the salt and pepper both come out finely ground -- which is OK with me. The buttons can be hard to press sometimes - there's another reviewer that suggest turning the grinder upside-down to dislodge crystals and peppercorns, which works. Using them at an angle seems to help too. I'd give it 5 stars for making the grind adjustable, but since it uses a 'plunger' mechanism (not a 'screw' mechanism like traditional grinders) I'm not sure how they'd add that feature. I'll keep experimenting with ways to make depressing the plunger easier. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying using these for one-handed grinding and for their 'wow' appearance on the table.

Pretty Bad Ass if You Like This Sort of Thing
We had/have battery operated salt and pepper grinders with big reservoirs. The bigger reservoirs are cool, but changing batteries and the space they take up isn’t great. They are also a bit more breakable for some reason.Enter these gems. They’re smaller, so less capacity, but they are super easy to use, fit in your hand well, and never require batteries. They may seem expensive, but I suspect a lifetime of use as they feel well made and operate like a high quality piece of tech.

Hopefully the last S & P grinders I purchase!
I’ve been looking for good s & p grinders for a while and I hope these will be the ones that last longer than a few months. They are easy to fill and use (one handed operation is a plus) and attractive too. I can’t comment on quality as I’ve just gotten them but if they don’t stand up to daily use, I’ll add to this review.
