So far, this is looking good and working fine for me. I use it next to the kitchen sink to catch soap dispenser "dribbles" so they don't fall onto the countertop.FYI for those who are seeing signs of corrosion-- I know formed metal and wire parts very well, and I do believe this is actually stainless steel, although it's probably one of the cheaper alloys, and almost certainly not passivated. It appears to be bright nickel plated (what usually passes for "chrome" these days), and that should help, but if you got one of these with a minor plating defect, you might learn first hand that under the right conditions, untreated stainless steel will rust. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do about that as a consumer.

Read closely. The "stainless" part ONLY refers to the dish underneath and NOT to the gridded piece. Will rust quickly as the chrome on the feet of the grid wears off and plain steel is exposed. Seems silly to have the dish not rust while the grid does. Clean off the feet, use one of the anti-rust preparations with phosphoric acid and then apply a dollop of silicone caulk to insure the feet cannot contact water. Caveat emptor.

I am trying to get rid of plastic in my life. Part of this was going to a bar dish washing soap. This soap dish works perfectly for the dish soap bars. It is long enough to rest a scrubber too. The dish looks good sitting on the counter and is easy to clean. I've been using the dish for awhile and it still looks brand new.

I purchased this in 2012. It is now 2017 and I still have this product by my kitchen sink. Yes, if you let water pool for a few days, you will get a little rust in the pan but that can be scrubbed out with a gentle scrubber. The grill will also rust a bit, but that too can be scrubbed off. This product has held up markedly well.

This was at such a good price, it's stainless steel, and it fits my giant savon de marseille block soap, a sponge, and my stainless steel wool. It's so easy to clean, it's simple, and it just works. This is exactly what I was looking for and I'm glad I found it.
