Great shoe with excellent fit for someone with exceptionally wide feet. As with most any brand the footbed lacks support which was easily corrected with a Dr Scholl’s insole. What impressed me the most with this shoe is the overall fit and finish as well as the comfort for extended wear with proper insoles. First time out with these shoes I wore them for 16hrs without blisters or issues. Of all the brands I have previously tried that claimed to be “wide” width were not, these actually are.

These fit to size accurately. Leather uppers and not that PLU leather that cracks and flakes. A little stiff at first like they should be. Good arch support and the insoles are comfortable.

Great Shoes! This is my second pair. The first is cordovan and looks / wears really well. Holds a shine and are waterproof! I use them for both business and casual. These black shoes are a clone. Comfortable, easy to care for and waterproof! I get complements from a wide variety of folks that like both the style and the shine. I have wide feet and these 12 E's fit to a "T". The soles and heels are perfect for the snowy and wet weather here in the northeast and are replaceable. I had a pair of Chaps that SQUEAKED. Tried everything .. they still SQUEAKED. They would wake people up at the airport! Someone from a thrift shop is now wearing squeaky shoes. I'm wearing the real thing! Enjoy your Rockports!

These shoes are phenomenal! They are non-slip, water resistant shoes, that just looks good! I work in the food industry as a General Manager, I’m on my feet 60 hours a week, and step in all sorts of stuff, from grease to food, and I’m always getting wet with the dish washing sink. I only gave these shoes 4 stars for one prior reason, the insoles are very uncomfortable, the shoes fit great, but you will definitely want to order a pair of insoles. With being on my feet constantly, something that is comfortable is a must. I highly recommend these shoes if you are looking for good quality at not such a high price. Sometimes prices doesn’t matter, and they shoes are a great example! Thank you!

I used to buy Rockports in the '80s when they were made in the USA. Later, as they outsourced their manufacturing to various overseas locations, I found that both the quality and fit of their product varied a lot. I quit buying them and went on a shoe journey that ended with Mephisto walkers being my "go-to" shoe. Expensive, but the only modern equivalent of the old Rockports, IMO.Fast forward to 2015. Rockports are still made in various outsource locations. However, they seem to have corrected the quality issues I noted before. Also, with Amazon's free return shipping policy, I am able to get around the inconsistent sizing issue, which still exists. That said, once I find a pair that fits, the new Lockport shoes are great for me.These lace-up, waterproof cap-toes are the perfect shoe for me to wear to work in the 2016 "el Nino" rain in California. I was able to find a pair that fit me well with one cycle of return (the first pair was too big). They look good and have held up well in the use I've given them. I recommend these shoes if you need a bit of inclement weather support in your daily dress shoe. Make sure you look at the fit recommendations on Amazon and perhaps you can avoid the one fitting cycle I had. On sale, these were about $60, which is an outstanding shoe value. They are normally over $100 locally. Of course, even that is a bargain compared to my previous $275 Mephistos! In fact, a Mephisto re-sole is $140, so that is also more than a new pair of these.I now have a small fleet of Rockports of various styles and recommend them highly. Just know that each style has its own sizing issues.

This is my 3rd pair of the same shoe. Overall it’s the best non-slip dress shoe that currently exists on the market. It looks and feels great and comes in several width options.Here are my objective criticism after going through 3 pairs (currently on my 4th):1. Arch support is minimal. I have higher than regular arch BUT I have many other shoes that do a better job to give me proper support than these Rockports. In fact, even after fully broken in, my feet begin to ache after an hour or two, so I have to use Dr. Scholl’s Extra Arch support insoles to mitigate the damage. I spend around 6 hours at night on my feed and I was expecting more for the price out of the box.2. The tread wears out quick, and it’s very consistent though all the pairs I’ve owned. It’s great at first and non slip works like magic but after a month or two you begin to see noticeable wear. Mind you, I work on carpeted floors most of the time, not concrete or any other rough surface, and you can expect to get about 10 months to a year out of them.Otherwise they hold up great and with proper care will last a pod time. With my schedule, I go through a pair a year, working 4-5 nights a week on average.I will buy them again simply because there aren’t any good enough alternatives at the moment. Hope the points in this review will help you make an informed decision.

These shoes feel great & look amazing and at a phenomenal price! I really think I should stock up a few other pairs with a slightly different style.

I have purchased these same shoes about 10 times over the past 7 years. They had always been fine. They would typically last me 5 to 8 months of moderate use. When I made my most recent purchase, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the price had not gone up (which surprised be given the inflationary economy we are in). It did not take long to understand why the price had not increased. The quality of the materials in this shoe has been entirely downgraded. After less than a month the shoes were COMPLETELY UNWEARABEL. the "leather" around the ankle and on the tongue has ripped to shreds, they totally nail the homeless beggar look!!! these are utterly junk.
