Tuft & Needle - King 2-Inch Breathable, Supportive Adaptive Foam Mattress Topper, CertiPUR-US

I was unsure and waited a long time before purchasing this topper since the reviews were mixed. I had bought a new mattress and was having hip and shoulder pain from the firmness. I tried a feather bed and then a natural latex topper, neither softened the mattress enough. This one sounded like it would add the just the right amount of plushness. I ordered an all cotton mattress pad to put over it as reviewers said it sleeps hot, and it helps it stay in place. It does sleep a warm (I find this more than my husband) but it is oh so comfortable.

I LOVE THIS! I wasn't sure about ordering it—I thought the thicker the better—so I was mainly looking at 3 to 4-inch toppers like I had in the past, but the reviews were so good that I decided to give it a try. It took a while to come, but was definitely worth the wait. It unrolled perfectly without the terrible smell of toppers and foam mattresses that I've had in the past. I put it on my bed immediately and was completely won over. It's soft without being too soft. It doesn't take away from the firmness of my mattress—it just provides a perfect amount of cushioning and coziness. I discovered that the non-skid surface works best when it's placed directly on the mattress. I had it on my mattress cover at first and it kept shifting—my mattress cover was too slippery. Once I moved it directly on top of the mattress it stayed in place. I sleep so much better now without the shoulder and hip pain that came with sleeping on my side on just my regular mattress. It's so comfortable that I never want to get out of bed.

My sore shoulder has disappeared within 2 weeks after using this topper! I had been told by a doctor that I needed physical therapy for my shoulder and perhaps surgery when I got older. Our mattress is a luxury brand and only a year old, so I didn't believe it was causing my shoulder pain, but I decided to just try a topper anyway. It's just amazing that I wake up each morning now with no shoulder pain. I know this sounds like a huge exaggeration, but it's not. My husband loves it too. Surprisingly, we have no problem rolling over, because unlike a memory foam topper, which we have on a guest bed, you don't sink into a "ditch" you can't get out of. The topper has no smell whatsoever. I searched for a topper that was Oeko-Tex certified, and not just Certipur certified - which is a phony, worthless certification. Our topper is under a mattress pad so I don't know if it would slip without one. The only negative comment I can make is that initially, it did make me a little hot, but I wasn't surprised by that - how could it not. Honestly, I don't even notice it anymore. I can't tell you how pleased I am with this topper.

I really wanted to like this product but it is not worth the money. It has a grip on the bottom to help stay on the mattress and not move around...yet it constantly slides off to the front or side. I mean ALL THE TIME. Not sure if I have a defect or not but this is absurd. Also, after a couple of months the mattress topper becomes extremely plush to the point where it is somewhat non existent. Will be returning/tossing out.
