i tried it on an obvious tiny crack in the skimmer and it didn't work

We have a very old 2006 Dream Maker spa that had begun to leak from an unknown location. I figured it was a seal somewhere that had cracked through the years with dry winters and such. I was very skeptical of this product at first but it was meant to be a Hail Mary to see if we could get one last year out of an aging spa. To my surprise it worked the first year we used it and got us through the season.We stop using the spa in the winter and I suspect the seals dry out contract and become leaky once we restart it in the spring. I have since figured that the leak is around the pump seal but really have no desire to remove pump and replaced the seal myself. But I have used this product three years in a row now and it has helped through three complete seasons. The value of the stuff can not be beat.It is very important that you understand you may need to repeat the process on the bottle a couple of times. On one occasion I have had to use the whole bottle repeating the procedure. It is also important that you allow the recommended time for it to cure. Last thing. If you use a ton of this stuff at one time your water may remain cloudy. I opted to drain my water after treatment and refill the spa but mine is very small and I used the whole bottle over two attempts.Once again it appears the leak is at least slowed to the degree that we are not putting in water other than what we would attribute to evaporation. I realize this is not a permanent fix but I feel this is inexpensive enough to try each year to keep an otherwise dying spa in working condition.

I wish I'd known about this product a long time ago! This is an amazing product that works incredibly well, and it is simple to use, and has saved me a ton of trouble and expense of having to dig into the foam insulation on my spa. My spa was losing 1/2 - 1" of water PER DAY!My ProForm spa developed a leak several years ago. I eventually emptied it, and it just sat in the backyard unused. Finally, in the middle of the pandemic, I decided to see if I could find the leak and make repairs to get the spa working again. When I filled the spa, I thought the leak had mysteriously disappeared - and I thought it was not leaking (I was wrong!) - so I purchased a new spa cover (hundreds of $$) ...only to discover that the leak was STILL a problem. I opened up all panels of the spa to try to find the leak, but it appeared to be coming from under the CENTER of the spa - inaccessible unless I emptied the spa and lifted it onto its side.Well, searching Google for a solution, I found some reviews on this product. I decided it was worth something to at least give it a try, though I was skeptical, especially because of how much water my spa was losing. I'm guessing it lost 20 gallons per day or so.Receiving the product, I followed the directions and removed the spa filter, pouring about 1/4 of the bottle contents into the filter inlet with the pump running. I ran the spa for about 30 min with all valves open. I continued to cycle the spa every couple of hours, and stirred the water (the product will settle out if the pump isn't on) ...for a couple of days.Miraculously, the area around the spa is now DRY! The spa is no longer losing water. I am absolutely amazed and thrilled to be able to use my spa again! Thank you Marlig Industries for a terrific and money-saving product!Like I said, I wish I'd known about this sooner! Excellent product...and it really works!

This product really works to stop leaks in my spa. It seems like if the spa is not used for a period of time it leaks. Sometimes a lot, usually just some. I have been using this for several years and it works every time. The directions are clear and easy to follow. Rather than filtering product out of the water, I just drain and refill the spa. If you do use spa filter, it leaves a gooey film on the cartridges that is hard to remove. Draining and refilling is much easier.
