This one All wood!
He loves his birthday present!I believe this one is 5 lbs. I made sure to find an all wood one. Althought the laminate ones have a cool rustic look to them, I know hubby is not the meticulous caring, kind of guy LoLI was surprised how sturdy it is.Since we bought a house, beside a lake, this will be used alot! It'll protect the rod ends a lot better, and find the one he wants.My only disappointment was I thought this one spun around.In mentions it does, twice. Once in the description and then further down.Once the basement is finished it will go downstairs.

Very poor quality for the cost.
The rod stand is made from what appears to be an Asian soft wood that does not readily take stain. The stain is blotchy and poorly applied. The threaded bolt for the top spindle stripped on the first attempt to insert. I had to repair the bolt threads with a die. After repairing the bolt threads, the spindle does not firmly affix the top round plate to the lower spindle. Staples affixing 8 plastic clamps (which hold the rods) to the upper round wood section were not completely seated and had to be driven into the wood with a punch to prevent scratching rods.Overall, this product is of very poor quality for the price and would not recommend it for the reasons noted.
