Birding hotspots in the Algarve: At the heart of Ria Formosa: 4

If you own any or all of the first three volumes you will be familiar with the established format/layout which is maintained here. The directions to the various sites are excellent with sufficient detail to ensure they are easily found and of course having only recently been written, they are guaranteed to be up to date! The author clearly has great knowledge of the hotspots and shares this for a very small price. If new to these guides one should be aware that they are not designed to aid bird identification and, if appropriate, should be used in conjunction with a Collins guide or similar. Already looking forward to Volume 5! Highly recommended.

We like these bird guides by Gonçalo Elias, they concentrate on one particular area of the Algarve. Really pleased to have the book on The Ria Formosa. It is a favourite part of the Algarve we have visited many times, we are staying in Olhao in October and this book has come up with a few places we have yet to discover.
