I work on job sites that often have no electricity and wanted to take some hot lunch with me. I fill it with boiling water before heating up my food in the morning around 630am then I put my heated food (heat it warmer than you would if eating at home) right before I leave. I have lunch around 12-1 and it’s still hot. The little spoon it comes with is not great but works on a pinch. I bring an actual spoon as the swivel feature is a bit annoying since it doesn’t stay rigid and straight after a while.

This was great for my first graders lunches during the school year. I only used it to keep chicken nuggets and hotdogs warm. I tried other foods in it but it Always came home full - even with foods that he normally eats . Not sure why but nuggies and hotdogs (bun packed separately) were a hit! As others have said before, surround the nuggies in a paper towel nest to keep them somewhat dry while they hang out until lunch time. I used a quarter sheet on the bottom and a quarter sheet on the top. It’s Easy enough to hand wash. Oh, make sure that you “prime” it first by letting hot/boiling water sit in it covered for a few minutes before putting your food in. This was a good purchase and will be used again in second grade!

Got this for packing my 14 yr. old son’s school lunch. The size is great. Like that it comes with a spoon. Wish it also came with a folding fork for noodles and such . If prepped properly it’ll keep your food warm for at least 5 hours! Haven’t used it yet for cold but I would imagine it’ll work just as great as long as you prep for cold food. What I don’t like about the container is the outside material . There’s no grip/traction so opening it can be difficult … and you need to make sure it’s closed tightly to avoid leaks! If they could re-design it for a better grip & include a fork it would be +5-stars for sure ! So far leakproof & easy to clean & sturdy. I put it in the dishwasher with no problems. A good product & I’m glad I purchased it.UPDATED: So I’ve had this little over a month & had to remove 1-star from my original review. As you can see the paint is coming off.

I want to give a great review! I want to use this. My kid wants warm lunches so I read reviews and this seemed awesome. Unfortunately, I can’t open the lid! It appears as though someone screwed on the lid at a snap angle making it stick in place. We’ve all tried to open it but there is no way to unscrew it. Thus we can’t even use it so I can’t tell you whether stays warm it if it leaks.This was purchased for us to easily open by a kid for school lunches (not even parents can open, not even with a gripper pad). I’m very disappointed because my return window closed (I loved the look and size so didn’t know I’d return it) and I now have no way to contact seller to even give them the chance to correct this defective container.I hope they reach out and offer to replace it. If they do, and if the replacement works, then I’ll bet gladly adjust my review accordingly.

I have a bias toward Thermos. I grew up with their products, some sixty years of using them. But decided to try a different brand. Glad i did. The container is well made. Kept food warm. Has a wider mouth than Thermos - a definite plus for both filling and eating. The lid makes a nice size bowl if one chooses to use it. Larger than Thermos. The one small negative is the white stopper. Tomato sauce is the bane of plastic. The white stopper is now stained pink and will forever remain so. A black stopper makes more sense in this context. So far is holding up. Only time will tell how well finish holds up. I expect the actual container to be durable regardless of the finish. Worth trying.
