My Marriage Survived a Ceiling Fan Installation!
We lost the blade of the 30+ year old ceiling fan that came with the house forcing the replacement. I ordered the flush mount unit from Hunter as it was reasonably priced and the right color.I met the UPS driver with trepidation, knowing that my marriage would be tested more than during childbirth over the next few hours.The parts were neatly organized. The instructions were clear and concise. The installation was smooth and relatively painless.When the power was turned on and the lights and fan came to life, a tear of joy moistened my sweaty cheek. The remote control functions perfectly.Thank you Hunter!

Nice fan but defective
Bought this fan because of Hunter's reputation but after two bad experiences with them, I think their quality has significantly degraded. I ran into 4 issues with this fan.1) Lights flicker. This is apparently a known issue with this model. You'll see a lot of reviews on Hunter's website that the lights intermittently turn off and then back on. In a few occasions this happened several times over a span of a few minutes2) Motor hums. There is no excuse here, the motor should be perfectly quiet. Unfortunately that is not the case, seems like it is made from cheap electrical components3) Cheap screws. There are two screws for mounting the fan to the ceiling. I mounted it onto 2x4s in the attic, rather than to the light box. Every Hunter fan I've bought comes with the cheapest screws that ALWAYS strip when you get half way through. These were no exception. Don't bother with their screws. Luckily I had some 3" decking screws that worked perfectly.4) The remote hangs over top of the light switch. That sounds great, but that also means that you need extra long screws so that you can attach it over top of the light switch cover (by replacing the existing short screws). These screws are not included, so I don't know how they expect you to mount this. Again, luckily I had some left-over screws but they weren't white to match the cover.Overall a bad experience. Returned it while I still had the chance. It's a shame because it's a very nice looking fan, and installation was fairly easy. Wish they spent an extra few bucks in quality.

SOLID FAN
Visually I really like this fan. It is BIG, BLOCKY and somewhat industrial looking, and for us it works. It certainly is NOT your grandma's fan. So far, it's whisper quiet. If I can adjust the light level, there is no indication that I can do that, however, I find the somewhat dim LED bulbs to be just fine as mood lighting, however, since they are regular LED household bulbs I don't think it would be a struggle to put brighter bulbs into this unit if I so desired. I have knocked two stars off this unit for TWO distinct problems. #1. The meathead who designed the fan emplacement on this unit is a malicious cur. If my wife had not interceded and taken me out to look at the moon, I would have inevitably crumpled the blades into sawdust or thrown a hammer though our picture window. After making a little work around, the blades went in relatively easily. Something of this sort should be supplied in this package. #2. Although many people comment on how lacking the remote control is, I quite like the remote. However...the mounting system is RIDICULOUSLY flimsy and cheap. WHAT WERE YOU GUYS THINKING?? FURTHER...the fact that I have to remove the light cover to reverse the fan blade direction is either annoying or quirky and I can't figure out which way I feel about it. Having said all of this, I must admit, I really like the fan and it probably deserves a 5 our of 5

Fan light can be dimmed!
Really like the fan - wonderfully quiet and attractive looking. Was disappointed that even though the product brochure stated the light could be dimmed, I couldn't get it to do so. Went online and requested assistance and received an email with some very specific and detailed instructions, and the light now can be dimmed now!!! So happy about this as it was one of the reasons I purchased this particular fan. Very good response from Hunter support.

Very quiet and effective fan
The installation was straight-forward, and the fan looks good too. I am so happy with this purchase. I am glad I bought two - one for each bedroom. The 44" size works very well in bedrooms 10' X 12' or slightly smaller. the drop from the ceiling is just 10" so no concerns with heads banging into it. It is very quiet - does not keep a person awake through the night. I recommend this product.
