I initially was drawn to these because they were cute, but also just wanted to try out something new. They are slightly different from a lot of stuff out there and I wanted to see if it would give me a result closer to heat styled curls.I put these in on 90% dry hair. They were super easy to do and I liked being able to leave the hair ends out for straighter ends. I put the curlers near the root and wrapped it around the curler just like I would with a barrel. For these curls I let the hair twist instead of lying flat all the way around. There is some type of pliable core that helps keep it's form when it's bent to snap closed. Snaps closures have a super satisfying click. lol I put these in before bed and took them out the following morning. I didn't use any products throughout just because of my preference. Hairspray is recommended in the instructions. They are soft to sleep in, but like with any heatless curls it's still not 100% comfortable. I absolutely loved the results! It was a little too tight immediately after letting them out, but relaxed to the style I was going for a couple hours later. I have a TON of hair and usually have to buy two sets when I get this kind of stuff, but this came with 20 curlers and I used 16. I was using pretty generous sections too because I wasn't sure I'd have enough. I don't normally write reviews so I was very impressed with these. I will definitely use them a lot and try different curl styles. It's nice for when you want to air dry and not heat style the next day. If anything I hope they come out with thicker ones in the future and you can maybe accomplish a faux blowout look.

In general, I like them. If you sleep on them, or wrap to tightly, the metal wire in the middle that allows them to bend and yet hold the position, makes a bit of a kink. The curl ends up a bit more ocular, with a slight kink, instead of round. Good to use on dry hair and wear around the house for an hour or two before an event. Good alternative to heat.

Fantastic! I’ve searched high and low for the perfect hair roller. Now, I have found it! These rollers are super lightweight (so perfect for traveling), super soft, don’t pull or break off my hair, don’t leave crease marks on your hair, and are super comfortable to sleep in. Great for African-American hair. I’m soooo pleased with this product... just perfect!

I have curled my hair for 20 years with either hot rollers or a curling iron. But the love all started in high school when I would sleep with foam curlers. I got away from those because they left a clip mark and were horrible to sleep in. These curlers are soft and do not leave a clip mark. I wash my hair, spray it with Ion volume spray and dry it. Then section off pieces and mist them with water. Put the curlers in and twist the strand lightly to help the curl stay. I blast a little heat and let them set for 30-45 mins or just while I finish getting ready. Not near as much damage to my poor over process hair!

The video which explains how to use the curlers is very good. I had the best success when I rolled the strand of hair from the tip and firmly tightened the strand as I rolled up, then snapping the curler into place against my scalp. I also twisted the curler to keep it from flopping.The curlers CANNOT be used on wet hair. Damp is okay but it will take longer to dry. The video shows spraying with hairspray or a fine mist of water. I use the latter and the resulting curls look wonderful!I like that the curlers are so soft and easy to use and I get great results.
