Perfect replacement
My cable modem kept crashing, so I needed a replacement! I owned my modem, on the Optimum system, and needed a repkacement compatible with Optimum. Tech Support at Optimum gave me some Make & model #s that were compatible, and I chose this one, as my previous Arris lasted well,over ten years! Upon arrival, a quick call to tech support to register the new MAC Address, and I was up and running again!

Works great and I gave my old one back to optimum and what makes it extra special is I don't have to pay optimum $10 a month for it

Not compatible with Xfinity
Xfinity had the brand but didn’t recognize the model so 3 hours of phone conversation wasn’t pleasant.

Save on your cable bill.
The router works perfectly. My cable company remotely activated the box and now I am going to break even on the cost and start saving money on renting the router, because I own it!

Easy install for older female once you connect all wires register with who ever you use for cable,tv.phone no problems, works great why pay to rent it.
