ADCO 46004 SFS Aqua-Shed Bumper-Pull Horse Trailer Cover - 14'1" to 16'

Pleasantly surprised
I just installed it so I cannot comment on the durability. It replaces a $600 high end custom cover which finally died after more than ten years in the wind, thanks to Irma. This unit fits perfectly with quite a bit to spare for a 16' x 6' V nose trailer (bought the up to 16' version). It is as depicted in the picture. Running boards and wheels are fully covered and lengthwise there is plenty left which needs to be "tucked-in" with the provided strings. Great fit! Also it is not as flimsy as some stated. The fabric is strong and appears adequate, certainly not flimsy. It is not as thick as the one it replaces but the price difference is substantial. I gave it 4 stars for the time being, but it may deserve 5; time will tell.

Best option in its price range.
The average option to cover and protect your horse trailer is upward of $1k for something truly durable. I researched for months all of my more affordable options, temporary car ports etc, and ultimately decided to try this as it seemed the best value for money at the lower price range. I was concerned that it may discourage me from using my trailer due to the need to take it on and off, however, it is relatively easy to install. You definitely need a ladder, an extra person helps, but is not necessary. I am 5’5” and have managed to put it on and off without too much difficulty alone. The cover is breathable, and does not trap moisture thus making your trailer moldy, which is great. It is “reasonably” durable. It will wear on sharper edges, I have a few small tears that have started, but immediately adjusted the cover and duck taped the areas, which has worked. I strongly suggest you store your trailer in a place where it will get minimal wind, as the constant blowing will cause pressure points to rub, and thus tear. I did my research, thoroughly and for months, this is obviously no where near as good as a permanent metal car port, but for the price, I am super happy with it so far.

Dry rot after 6 months
I bought this to cover a Brenderup horse trailer. It was way to big for a Baron TC L, lengthwise. It comes al l the way down to cover the tires, which is a good thing. I used it to cover the hitch too, because I had so much extra length, which seemed like a good thing because it kept the hitch clean and dry, but the weather caused it to dry rot and the hitch poked through. I ordered a second one, a size smaller, and will update as to the durability of the second one. It is extremely hard to put on with just one person - I managed by using a light bulb changer extension pole to get it up over the top. So - this thing costs about $200 with tax, and lasted just over 6 months, so I can't say I would recommend it as a great thing. It does keep my trailer clean and keeps the rain out, and the trailer did not mold like it might with a tarp.

Better than a tarp
We've bought a few ADCO trailer covers over the years for horse trailers as well as big 5th wheel camper trailers. They fit well. The only gripe is that they deteriorate pretty fast. Expect to replace them every 2 to 3 years in moderate climates with lots of sunshine. In wet and windy climates expect to replace them sooner. As they age they tear very easily, a hole becomes a rip in the next mild windy day. Again, not a lot of choices out there, and for the money they are a good purchase. We've bought 5 of them over the years.

Nice horse trailer cover but did rip in the corner
This cover has held up tremendously against severe storm winds, torrential rain, and and ice storm (Missouri weather). I noticed after owning it for a month, one of the top corners in the back have ripped the fabric due to friction but it did state that you should have something in the corners to protect the edges from ripping the sheet which I failed to do. This sheet is not waterproof, it is merely water resistant and water will get through if it's torrential rain but it's breathable so it will dry. I like the ease of access the doors to my horse trailer, even the side door to the tack room. Putting the cover on required at least 2 people, I wouldn't recommend doing it by yourself.

The quality of the cover is of poor standards. Working now to see if I can ...
Unfortunately, the trailer cover after two weeks on the trailer started a tear along a corner. We have not undergone any storms or other strong weather that would lead to such a tear. The quality of the cover is of poor standards. Working now to see if I can return it although the return window has expired. I would not recommend this cover for any type of trailer.

Hi I am not sure how to reach company? ...
Hi I am not sure how to reach company? I purchased this trailer cover February of 2017 from Amazon. It’s now June 2018,16 months later the entire cover is tearing apart. I live in Florida maybe quality is not made for full sun? I am attaching photos.

Misleading title/not durable
A cover with "Aqua-Shed" in its title should be more waterproof than this was. I have had this on my trailer for 6 months and it is NOT water proof- not even water-resistant. I purchased it to cover my trailer until I was able to replace the broken vent cover in my dressing room. Thinking it was keeping the dressing room dry I was unpleasantly surprised that it has not kept the rain out of this area of the trailer. Also, the back strap has already ripped off and the front strap is being frayed by the friction of the trailer corner. Would love to get my money back or at least a portion of it back for this. I will end up throwing it away because it is not worth the hassle it takes to put it on and off.
