I would like to revise my earlier review. This little thing is meant to be played from the side or between your legs as you sit. It’s hollowed out for that purpose to get the sound to resonate. Still there is no way to replace the drum head when it busts which it will eventually as drum heads do because the strings are glued on. You would need to fit the strings and restring it which I wouldn’t recommend unless you know what you’re doing.

Easy to handle. Sounds good. Great gifting idea.

Smaller than I thought, but perfect for my four year old, who is my reason for buying. Durable and sounds great. Good for beginners, produces great sound.

It's larger than expected. The craftsmanship is above what I expected. Nice decor.
